Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

This is going to be the worst season of his career. And he's gonna bat .300, hit 40+ HR, and drive in 100+ runs.

He's really declining lol
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

In fact, he sure is! But most importantly, his TEAM is only 2 and a half games out of the Wild Card.

He's having the worst offensive season of his career, had a HUGE slow start to begin the season... and still leads the NL in homeruns... Dudes a pussy forsure.

The further this season goes, the more this question becomes more and more ridiculous.
Pujols still may end up with a 300 average, which would be remarkable considering his start and the fact that he broke his wrist.
He is at.304 now. 10 pts higher than Fielder.

Pretty crazy to think that in what is his worst year in the majors to this point Pujols could very well go for 300, 40, 110. Which is actually a little better than an average season for Fielder.

I don't know. There is still the idea this is a down year for him.

If he can finish on a tear though and push his average up to around the 310 range and lead the NL in homers and finish close to the top in RBI he very well could.

Think how they were losing early in the season when he wasn't hitting, now his bat comes to life and it could well push them into the playoffs. I certainly think he would have an argument if they did make it.

What exactly do you mean he's better than Fielder now? Next year might revert to normal tendencies, but Fielder is CLEARLY the better player this year.
Haha. That's what you get for evaluating players based on 2/3 of a season.

It was factual at the time...

We suck. Going to be a tight one down the stretch. Although, if we don't make it, it will probably save us embarrassment in the playoffs.

Jurrjens and Hanson getting hurt have really, really hurt.

Ask and you shall receive!

I know I'm a homer, and this is a bit of a choke job, but it's not a full-fledged choke job to me.
