Assuming that Texas A&M joins the SEC, what is your prediction for the eventual conference realignment as the Big 12 crumbles? Mine: Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State quickly join the Pac 12. In need of a 16th member to balance, the Pac 12 settles on Texas Tech. BYU and Boise State try to make plays but not being a logical fit, neither is taken. Baylor looks to try to stick with any BCS conference that will take them....but none will. Stuck with deciding between Conference USA and the Mountain West, they join the Mountain West. The SEC, after accepting A&M, has to decide whether to expand to 14 or 16 teams. The Big Ten has to decide if they want to stay at 12 or go to 14 or more teams. The teams left from the Big 12 would be Iowa State, Kansas State, Missouri, and Kansas. Both Iowa State and Missouri covet the Big Ten, while the SEC covets bringing Kansas into the fold to upgrade the conference in basketball. Neither conference cares much for Kansas State, who tries to use Kansas's coattails to ride into a new conference. After that, I don't know what happens. I think the Big Ten does covet Missouri more than Iowa State and I think Kansas does end up in the SEC. I also think the SEC will consider bringing in Georgia Tech from the ACC, which is more of a natural fit in the SEC. |

I think Kansas would be a better fit for either the PAC 12 or Big 10 than the SEC. I could see Mizzou joining the B10, but not sure about Iowa State. Kansas State could be left out in the cold, along with Baylor. Maybe they can form their own conference. Although, I think K State fits better in the SEC than any other conference. They seem a lot like Ole Miss or Miss State in both sports. |

Big Ten: Every team who plays slow-ass, boring football and/or enjoys playing basketball games where tackling is encouraged. Also required is a campus where it's cold for more than 1/2 the school year. SEC: Every school that has low academic requirements, a horrid basketball team, and a football stadium bigger than most NFL franchises. Pac 12: Any school that has super hot girls, a lackadaisical attitude, and doesn't care if most of their "student-athletes" drive exotic vehicles around hollywood boulevard. |
