Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

As long as you didn't fumble, anybody could be doing a better job.

I realize the defense has been out there way too long, but they are getting pushed around all over the field. I keep saying the Colts need to change their defense and get some bigger bodies.

the colts defense has been pushed around for years...the difference is that there was an offensive component that psychologically provided for a defensive release. now, it's like the defense is being asked to carry the load, or so the defense would perceive, and that simply isn't going to happen...

have to think that management did not realize manning situation so serious this past summer, otherwise, there were other options (admittedly maybe higher risk higher reward) to bring in if craps was the name of the game...

Houston also scored two TDs on really short fields (like 20 yards) and returned a punt for a TD. The defense didn't play well by any means, but I don't think it was the main problem. Also, that D is built to play with leads. Manning and the O gets a lead, other team is forced to pass downfield, the D-ends force pressure.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Well, there's another thing Colts management never try to improve: Special Teams.

IND has been eroding for a while. Poor drafts and only caring about giving Manning weapons for stats will do that to your team. Even if Manning was 100%, IND was going to have a tough time winning with their offensive line.

Yup, they've really been eroding. They've won their division 4 of the last 5 years (won 12 games 4 of those 5 years. Made two Super Bowls in that 5 years (winning one of them). Just two years ago, had a 14-2 regular season (and would have been undefeated if they really wanted to), and lost in the Super Bowl.

They haven't just been getting weapons for "stats". They've been getting weapons to win. And they've done a lot of it.
