Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Word is that Collins is "being evaluated for a concussion".

Isn't that just a nice way to bench him? The Colts experimented and lost, now everybody just needs to move on.....including Collins.

There is no quick fix. Throw any available QB into the Colts' system and we're screwed. If they don't start and play Painter, then they are nuts.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Did anyone not notice that Painter is just as bad on accuracy as Collins...yea he had one good drive(Collins has had a good drive here and there) but the other 3 drives he had he overthrew Garcon 10 yards and that would have been a 75 yd td with no defender within 15 yrds of him...on the last play of the game you have to at least give your reciever a chance to catch the ball and he throws to a receiver 20 yrds down field 5 yards short. And we all know what happen the other possession...

I was thinking the same thing as I read that.

If you don't start a player with a 23.8 career QB rating then you're nuts? Plus, he'll be making his first meaningful career start on the road on Monday Night Football.

Well, the other 3 game situations he's been put into have been a lot worse. I'm not saying he's Joe Montana, but he showed a lot more than Kerry Collins. Getting mauled from your blindside and fumbling is not really all his fault.

You have to give him a chance, it can't be much worse. He's never started a game with all the starters playing, and he's been thrust into two 4th quarters against the Jets and the Steelers' defenses. Sitting on the bench for 3 quarters and then coming into those situations (especially the Jets game where it was the backup offense against the best D in the league playing for their playoff lives) is not easy.

I actually agree; I think he deserves a fair crack at it as well. Additionally, Collins obviously isn't the answer so you might as well see what the kid can do. I don't see a downside to starting Painter at this point.

It was just a bit funny the way you phrased it.

How bad is your quarterback situation when you have Kerry Collins as a back-up to Curtis Painter?

0-16

We might get 1-15, i think we play KC this year. The only reason i say that is that KC just lost Charles for the year, and Cassel has proven he was a product of Bellicheat's system.
