Mr. Freaking Awesome
|
I ate chills Monday night with my girlfriend. We shared and appetizer and then I had the Cajun Chicken pasta. I could not sleep Monday night I was in so much pain from my stomach. I threw up with so much force Tuesday morning I passed out and hit my nose on the bathtub breaking it. I have not been able to hold down food yet, some liquids seem ok. Orange juice and the like. Most notably I am missing tons of work, which will not be fun when I return. Anyone had a similar experience? This is the second time I have had food poisoning, since eating some bad salmon in California. |

I have had it overseas, and you have my sympathy. |

I've seen too many people get food poisoning after eating pasta (especially some kind of chicken pasta) that I just avoid the pasta section of the menu at every non-Italian restaurant. |

I got food poisoning from Long John Silvers once, and was sick for about 3 days. I threw up so much, that I eventually was throwing up acid stuff. Could only drink water for about 2 days. Finally on the third day I could drink orange juice and eat chicken noodle soup. Worst 3 days of my life. |

I've only had food poisoning once, got it after eating at Applebees. Similar experience, spent two days throwing up. Absolutely fucking awful. Hope you feel better BTFU. |

Why I don't waste money on "good deals" at Applesbee's, Chilli's, Golden Corale, and even Logan's anymore... |

Go Tebow!
|
I'm not a big Applebees fan at all. I've never been sick afterward but during tax season, we ate there every Saturday. By the end of it, I would have rather eaten at McDonalds. I've only had food poisoning once, and that was when my nephew had his baptism party. My brother-in-law's mother made chicken and dumplings. She's a really good cook, and they were absolutely delicious, but apparently the chicken was bad. Although I never vomited, I had diarrhea at least 20 times during the next 24 hours. My parents had the same thing. Luckily, they have 3 bathrooms at their house! In all she made about 50 people terribly ill. She was obviously mortified over the situation, but how many people can say they caused approximately 1000 trips to the shitter over a 24 hour span after a baptism party? That's pretty impressive. Also, that night I had to go to USI for a group meeting before it hit me. I was about 10 minutes away from home on the way back after the meeting and I had to pull over on the side of the road. Ended up wiping myself with grass and leaves. #winning Good times...get to feeling better FU. Edited by obatskii, Sep 14 2011, 03:46 PM.

Very good point. Nothing like eating the "special" that's a week past the expiration date. Reminds me of another tidbit for those wise travelers. If you ever go to a place, and they have a "House Wine".... avoid it unless you're broke. European countries in particular tend to take the left overs of everyone's bottles of wine and combine them for the House wine. |

Good little tidbit to know.... And what's it called when somebody mixes all sorts of beers into one? I need to look out for that one. Now, if there's some twisted ass bourbon house mixture, I might be daring enough to fire that down. Fire breathing and all haha. |
