Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I've been supportive of the Tea Party, a political force that is against bigger government, and wasteful spending, which includes corporate welfare. Congressmen like Jim Demint have been trying to disrupt the Republican establishment that tends to be owned by big business. Like I've posted in the past, limiting government control also limits the effect big business can have on it.

So Jim isn't taking campaign contributions from large corporations?

From what I can tell, he is somewhat of an anti establishment republican with all the all the same social policy bullshit as all the rest......with a little extra. Big supporter of O Donnell...............disqualified.

I'm sad that I've missed your past arguments as to how limited government control also limits the effect big business can have. A short explanation please.

have there been any firebombings in this movement?

br
no, just threats of them from the extreme in the movement.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

So you try not to 'focus on the firebombers', but can't come up with anyone who has firebombed?

If the best you can come up with is a video of someone who mentioned firebombing and was arrested, then how are you not 'focusing on the (nonexistent) firebombers'?

brum...quit stretching to discredit me.....I said that I'm not focusing on them...I didn't bother showing the video until I was asked about "firebombers". What the hell are you even getting at?

How exactly did the tea party fail? Were you out of the country during the midterm elections?

brian is brainwashed to believe that it failed...he can't comprehend the concept that so many people in this country still want individual liberty. Brian isn't even honest with himself as to where he gets his opinions....he continually tells us that he is independant...etc, yet on every single issue he takes the far left stance, right in line with the MSNBC style folks.

every significant candidate that the tea party has put up has been eventually laughed off the national stage.

the swing back to the right at midterms was expected by even polysci 101 dropouts and had very little to do with the tea party movement. groups like these (both ridiculous "efforts") should be careful at claiming responsibility for inevitable events.

Again, Tea Party taking credit for something that wasn't even a result of their support. Paul NEVER trailed in the polls to begin with. He's a candidate that is affiliated with the Republican party...and in Kentucky, that's pretty much all you need. Scratch that, it IS all you need.

Nice try sir, but your are incorrect.

Kentucky Republicans struck the first blow at the Washington establishment Tuesday night by choosing political newcomer Rand Paul as their Senate nominee. Paul, an ophthalmologist and Tea Party favorite, defeated Secretary of State Trey Grayson, who had been championed by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.
