Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Although I have some policy issues with the overall "liberal democrat" point of view, what bothers me most is that I'm evidently not allowed to post anything negative about Obama at all for fear of being called a racist or biggot.
I only see one person pulling the race card here....the one saying others are calling him a racist when they are not.

If you don't think that the post after post after post after posts of republican propaganda in this forum doesn't warrant examination, then I don't know what to tell you.

So your one-liners that have nothing to do with most of the issues posted are called "examination"? There are a lot of things posted here that deserve examination and it is not all about the republicans. Pretty sad that we can't discuss issues without getting into the whole "the other party sucks worse" argument. We wonder why a highly partisan government can't come up with any solutions when we can't even honestly discuss issues on this board without getting into a partisan pissing match....

So you dont feel that on an overall national level that Obama policy dissenters haven't had the race card pulled on them? You dont feel that that even slightly carries over to the general voter when policy discussions get heated?

Obama will rely on racism to have a shot at re-election. Like Herman Cain stated, most blacks have been brain-washed to vote Democratic, although the data shows their policies have produced poor results. And many whites will feel guilty voting our first black president out of office.

If you look at the utter failure of his policies, I don't think the "it would be even worse without my policies" argument is going to get 'er done next November.

Then talk to the people who you think have done that. I don't punish my son when my daughter doesn't put her toys away.

Nobody is accusing you of calling anyone a racist. I point was on an overall picture of what has happened over the last 3 years. We elected or first black (mixed) president and regardless of how or why it happened the nation is as divided as ever. With an economy that is in the shape that ours is in, we can't afford the class warfare that is being spewed by both sides at this point. Maybe it is just the perfect storm of a bad economy, a polarized nation, and an upcoming campaign rhetoric/election season? I really think it is a combination of all of those and that our president should be doing and saying things to calm or ease the tension a little, sadly he is not. He is choosing campaign rhetoric instead of leading a country thru a very difficult time, imo. Admittedly, I am only 40 and have followed very few politicians/presidents/elections but I know what I think and feel that a good president should be doing. IMO, Obama is missing a huge opportunity to be a president that is remembered for uniting a country during very difficult times. Lecturing people on ideology over country at this point is pretty hollow coming from him, he needs to practice what he preaches and start becoming our leader or step aside and let someone else do it. Maybe he did come in during some pretty bad circumstances but no one forced him to run, he asked for the job. He needs to get keep his ass in Washington and start getting serious about our debt and deficit issues. Take the lead, put some plans on the table, let people know where you actually stand and see what happens. Maybe some people wouldn't have as hard of a time trying to support him if they actually knew where he stood on some of the very crital issues that we face in this country. The infrastructure and education investment lectures have to stop, it's time to get serious about the real problems we face.

I have a problem with government in general. Although I have some policy issues with the overall "liberal democrat" point of view, what bothers me most is that I'm evidently not allowed to post anything negative about Obama at all for fear of being called a racist or biggot.
Your quote. If you are saying that you can't post for fear of being called a 'racist or a bigot', either name names or it's simply a shield to hide behind.

...and not having a clue about anything political as well. Didn't exactly help now, did it?

Whose bandwagon are you on now? I've lost track.

Doesn't really matter why. We said he would be effectively gone by the middle of November. We were off by a couple weeks but hey no one is perfect :D
