Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

BTW, Cain's 9-9-9 plan isn't even that.....if you are well off. HE CAPPED THE SOCIAL SECURITY PORTION ON IT, so for those making over 125,000 they are only paying income taxes of about 2 percent on money earned above 125,000.

This plan is just throwing darts at a dart board.
The current tax code is just poking darts in our eyes, and jamming them up our asses.

Number of sexual harassment suits filed and settled out of court by Cain > the number nuclear weapons that Cain thinks China has.

Maybe if he were to export scientists to China so that they could finally start their nuclear weapons program....

seriously, Lars, you aren't worried in the slightest at Cain's Palin like grasp on world policies that he doesn't even know that China has had nuclear weapons since the 60s?

Obama didn't know how many states there were and he was elected. Am I really supposed to believe that he had some vast hidden foreign policy knowledge?

Honestly, was Obama ready to be President?

I'm no Herman Cain supporter but I really dont think he is any less experience than Obama was. Obama's previous political experience doesn't carry much weight considering his voting record.

At this point Cain is simply a primary candidate. If he wins the primary then you guys can argue about if he is ready or not.

Colt, do you really believe that Obama did not know how many states there are? Really?

It is very obvious that Cain did not know about China being nuclear capable for the past 40+ years.

In terms of him being just a primary candidate, I have not seen a president in my lifetime that lost a primary. The primary IS the time for voters to question whether a candidate is ready or not.

Brum, I do find that a bit troubling. Still,

Cain's foreign policy experience > Tebow

That I can't argue with.

All I know is what Obama said and what Cain said. Either they were gaffes caught on camera or they are idiots........neither proves who can or cannot be elected. All I'm saying is that many people had the same worries about Obama and he won a primary (even beating Hillary) and won the WH. Knowing that, you think Cain is not electable? If experience and political knowledge are the only factors then there would be no way that Barak Obama could beat Hillary Clinton, imo.

You do know which was a gaffe and which was being ignorant whether you will admit it here or not. Even Lars is admitting that it was a troubling statement. There is also a difference between being an 'idiot' and being ignorant of world politics. Obviously Cain is lacking in quite a bit of world knowledge.....there have been a number of statements that's he made when he's been forced to stray from his 9-9-9 mantra to know that.

You're throwing in experience and political knowledge together as if they are the same thing....which they most definitely are not. I have zero political experience but I do have the simple knowledge that China has had nuclear capability for decades. I don't think it's too much to ask that if someone lacks political experience that they do make up for it in knowledge.

I understand that you would not vote for Cain but nothing would surprise me in the current political/economic environment.

Brum, I'm hurt by the way you put that. I'm arguably the most objective and least biased poster on this forum. :-/
