Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Mongo, are you sure that you aren't a racist? (Seems that in the last few years that the threshold for what it takes to be called a racist has fallen quite a bit)

I've doubted Cain's ability to be a serious contender, mainly due to a lack of political experience and money. There's no doubt the media's coverage of his sexual harassment story is shining a bright light on the media's hypocrisy of ignoring Obama's close ties to an unrepentant terrorist, and racist minister. Now they can't get enough of the Cain story, even before there is much evidence, and it's mainly a "he said she said" scenario. The allegations are still relatively minor, especially compared to the Democrat's hero, Hillary's husband.

So the republicans are either going to run someone with multiple sexual harassment charges against him or a mormon. Not much to get excited about there....I'm pretty sure I know who's going to be keeping their seat next year...

The pastor Wright controversy got plenty of media coverage, and besides, why is it surprising at all that the media is going run with sexual harassment allegations of a presidential candidate? Of course they are.

Yeah....because no one covered Reverend Wright or Bill freakin' Ayers.

The bottom line of the coverage of Cain's harassment suits is that he has handled it absolutely horribly. First he 'didn't remember anything'...then it was 'Rick Perry's team releasing that information'....then it was 'the Democrats feeding Rick Perry the information'....then, 'oh, I'm starting to remember more'....then 'oh, you said settlement, which there wasn't, it was an agreement....'.

If this is a softball issue, one in which nothing actually occurred, I'd hate to see him when somethings actually does occur which is a guarantee during both a campaign and most definitely during a presidency. Despite your obvious undertones to try to get under people's skin with your intentional slanted posting, you're a smart guy....and in moments of seriousness you will indicate your doubt for Cain's ability to actually handle the job.

I asked former president Gary Hart about the media only going after republicans and he disagreed.

I would hope that you would "get excited" about their policies and impact on our country brian, not their religion. Perhaps there is nothing about Romney that excites you, but what the heck does being a Mormon have to do with that?

Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

I can't speak for bri, but what I think he is saying is that an amount of the republican base considers it an issue. I talk to a guy at work about politics quite a bit -- he is a life long republican and I doubt he has ever voted for any democrat at the state or national level -- and he flat out says that he will never vote for Romney and it is obvious that he would not based solely on the fact that he is Mormon. Honestly, I don't get where he is coming from but polls are showing that Romney has a real problem getting votes from the Evangelical.

I'd sure as heck prefer people looked at his policies as opposed to him being Mormon. Let's make the election about things that matter.

I've heard that Romney will get crushed in the South, because of the Evangelical influence. He will still be the nominee IMO.

I think he will be, too. I do hope that if he isn't elected in either the primary or the national election it isn't because he's Mormon.

i wasn't making a statement against Mormonism. I was simply pointing out that, in modern day politics, it's going to be an issue. It shouldn't be, but it will.

It's interesting that Cain is holding up in the polls. I tend to be suspicious whenever multiple accusers come forward, but given the hatred the left has for conservative blacks, I'm still giving the Hermanator the benefit of the doubt.

That's mighty generous of you.

Did you happen to watch the show Newt and Cain did together? I was greatly disappointed hearing Cain speak at length. He would lose a debate with Newt 100% of the time.
