| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Few people could beat newt in a debate. The problem with him is he is so unlikeable that I doubt anyone would work with him |

the reason why cain is holding numbers is because all of the other candidates are equally as weak....and that's saying something when the lead guy is a sexual abuser.... Cain in 2012...he's no Sandusky! br |

I'm giving Newt another look. He was badly demonized by the Dems in the 90's, but it's difficult to argue with the fact that he engineered the political movement that led to a balanced Federal budget (if you overlook the massive entitlement liabilities) |

Cain shows how not to act if you want to play down harassment charges. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJBwEnN1Td0 |

I don't really get the unlikeable. Is that from first-hand experience? |

I have seen Newt give one speech in person. I have never held a conversation with him. That seems to be the knock on him. He is very smart but hard to work with. I knew a guy that worked on his campaighn early on and he left. Then again the consultants can be babies. His stock seems to be on the rise big time. |

He is definitely gaining in the polls...the problem could be his ceiling. He is a guy who I think when he left politics that his stock actually rose....it seems that too often those in power in congress use their position to take pot shots at the other side (both sides do it). I would say that he also has definitely mellowed over the years and would be a much better job as a president now that he would have fifteen years ago. |

I agree. If he takes the lead though, those pot shots are going to be easy for the opposition to take on his personal life. That said, he's surprised me by passing Ron Paul on my personal list of candidates for the time being. |

An Obama/Gingrich debate would be a turning point in some voters minds, imo. Like him or not, very few politicians could hang with Newt one on one, imo. |

well, when you said "not much to get excited about", I was assuming that you were talking about yourself. |
![]() The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism. | |

I guess somebody should have told George W. Bush (5'11.5") to give-up against Gore (6'1") and Kerry (6'4"). Looks like a clear correlation between height and winning... Posted Image |
