Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Tebowing: Sucking at what you're paid to do but still succeeding because your co-workers pick up the slack.

I have worked with many Tebows.

I'm not about to deny his leadership qualities and the fact that guys play hard for him, but when they hit a rough stretch and the wins aren't coming, guys inside the locker room will question whether he is truly the QB they want or not.

Even if Tebow wins a few games with his current style of play, how long could he possibly last in the NFL? He needs to learn how to throw the ball or he will end up having a 2-3 year career, imo.

You can't and the number one reason is that you would have to draft players around him just to fit that system....and even take a back up QB who played the same way, all for a guy who can't throw the ball.

The truth is that the experiment isn't succeeding -- the offense hasn't improved. Last week they talked about the fact that the offense had 37 possessions in the first three quarters of games and they had exactly one touchdown. The defense has picked up, which is the bottom line. Heck, they've even been outscored in the 5-1 string. In five games they haven't broken the 18 points.

If you think that is Tebow leading the team, then you have to say that Orton lead the Bears to the playoffs....the same Orton that Denver fans demonize.

Denver was losing with Orton, and is winning with Tebow. Maybe he will only last a few years. Using the longevity argument, all players should become kickers.

Why would a team spend time and money at the qb position on a guy who is not a franchise caliber player? Tebow is a band-aid in Denver. By the sounds of what Elway is saying, I wouldn't be at all surprised if denver is one of the teams calling the Colt's about trading for that #1 pick. Tebow's days as a qb in the NFL are almost over. IMO, if he wants to stay in the NFL, he better spend this offseason working out with Wes Welker.

Because you think he fits there style and being in Florida or because you think he has upside as a NFL qb than Gabbert? (surely it is the first option)

Just because of the Florida connection and Jacksonville may have survived as a team with him as QB.

I do find it amusing that he is winning games, and irritating the haters.

I really don't get why people dislike the guy so much. You should dislike the people who produce so much pro-Tebow crap on TV before you dislike Tebow himself. He doesn't force you to pay attention to the talking heads, he's just doing his job to the best of his currently limited abilities.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Denver is winning games, just like Chicago won games when Orton was the quarterback.

It's more realistic to say that Von Miller is winning games.
