Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I was watching SportsCenter the other day and they had a pre-prepared tebow year-in-review for whenever the Broncos lost. they teed up the piece by calling Tebow's season "superb".

Superb? Am I missing something?

There is a difference between being a good guy and being an overhyped undertalented quarterback.

No shit. What does that have to do with people not liking a guy that does stuff like this? Oh and don't try and tell me everyone just doesn't like his skill set as a player because you know it's more than that.

Honestly, the more I hear about him, the harder it is to root against him. He's probably the most sincere, compassionate (as far as we know) professional athlete I've ever heard of.

Come on Boat, that is way to rational! I mean how could you like a guy, who has no control over the media, that is overhyped even when he isn't a very good QB? I don't care how many good things he does for people. It is just so damn annoying having to listen to certain media outlets that I don't have to pay attention to so I have to despise him.

This just keeps getting more and more ridiculous. Now Tebow is listed in the top 20 (ahead of Peyton Manning) as a guy that could have played in any era.

What a load of crock. As if 30 years ago, when defenses were built to stop the run, Tebow would have success running the option? Not a chance in hell. The only reason he's had some success now is

1) It's a gimmick that defenses weren't prepared for, a la the wildcat
2) Defenses are geared to stop the pass and rush the passer

I can't wait till Tebow is out of the NFL.

I watch him in between the sidelines. The fact that so many fans and media carry things outside of the field on to excuse what he does on the field is not going to endear him to me. When a good number of people actually believe that divine intervention is the reason for his success, it is not inhuman for people to root against him to shut them up.

Bottom line, he's a great guy who gets a pass for what he does on the field because of that. We all know guys like that in our everyday lives....great guys, great morals, but simply don't do their job. And when other guys around them pick up the slack thanklessly, it pisses us off.

No, the bottom line is you blindly hate him because he gets so much hype. You wouldn't hate him if he was just another guy on a football team and still had all of the moral credentials that he does. If you did still hate him then you have a problem with religion which I believe is a main reason for most of the crap he takes. The thing that pisses me off about you and other guys that hate on Tebow is that he doesn't control the attention he gets. He never brings it upon himself. Do you see him ever begging for all of the media hype? Would you like him to just tell the Broncos that he is going to quit football because he is getting undeserved praise and attention and people don't like that? No, of course not. Instead, he embraces his role and uses the things he is given to help people.
