Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I hate to speculate on anything, but seriously...with a lower leg injury, what is the worst case scenario? A broken ankle is actually better than a severe sprain, either of which will have him back on the court in 2-4 weeks I would think.
torn tendons/ligaments in your foot and ankle linger forever too. broken ankles are a one time deal. well, mostly.
I agree with you btown...i tore 3 ligaments in my ankle playing softball august of 2010 and i still have problems with it, even in spots that weren't close to the area that i tore the ligaments. i barely do something to my ankle now and i feel like i tore the ligaments again.

IU's Derek Elston (nose) will wear a face mask. Tom Crean: “He wanted to paint it. We shut that down real quick.”

Lmao a painted face-mask. That would just be a ridiculous distraction for both teams, AND Derek.

Post game, Crean called both Jones and Sheehey's injuries day to day. He said he hadn't gotten to talk to Verdell yet, but that he was moving around a little better after the game. He called it a 'hip-flexor' type of injury. With Sheehey, he said there wasn't a time line yet but that he didn't think it would be long term. He said there were waiting on the swelling to go down before Garl put a timeline on him coming back. He did say there was some progress with it today.

Sounds a bit promising. Also elston should always wear a mask. I think that will fit him well

one of my friends is already horribly frightened of Elston (she doesn't know anything about IU basketball), I can't wait to see what the mask does..

Coach Crean would know better than me about Sheehey's injury, but from my perspective his injury will be longer than day to day. I was at the game today and he was sitting on the bench in a boot on his left foot and he never got up off the bench until halftime. He grab a a set of crutches and hobbled off the floor. That to me doesn't sound like it is a day to day injury.

It was kind of a last minute thing. We and a friend decided to go about Tuesday.

We were in section J. And you?

It could be, but I know that their immediate concern is to get the swelling down which would mean that you try to keep as much weight off it as possible.

Well that makes sense and could be the case. Let's hope! By the way, if you really wanted to get the swelling down, wouldn't you want to keep it elevated?

That's what I was thinking as well; get his ass off the bench and into the trainer's room.

I was two sections over in Section L.
