Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I definitely don't want them rushing back, but I really, really hope we get Sheehey and Jones back before too long.

Six days between games might be a good thing to have right now.

Kinda what I'm thinking. Double digit minutes from Pritchard, Moore, and Roth may be ok against UMBC, not so much in our next couple of games.

gone from cautiously optimistic about big 10 opening games to slightly pessimistic with news of all these injuries. would be shocked if sheehey played before the new year. and, as such, would be ecstatic if the hoosiers pulled out one of the first two.

I would have been ecstatic about 1 of 2 even before the injuries

I was thinking that as well. Time heals all wounds. ;)

The only thing I know so far was that VJ and Sheehey stayed on campus during the Christmas break to get additional treatment. They are still day-to-day but I bet VJ goes and Sheehey will be a gametime decision.

I'm thinking that Sheehey will come in to relieve some guys but only for that purpose with limited minutes.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Rabjohns tweeted that Sheehey and VJIII are both unlikely to play but that Jones is "a little more day-to-day than Sheehey." Looks like we won't be seeing either in the game tomorrow

Wow, not having Sheehey is a HUGE blow. He's got the highest usage rates on the team offensively, and has been very efficient.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Not good, not good at all.

Pretty simple for tomorrow; if we're going to have a chance, the big 4 remaining (Jordy, Olapadia, Watford, and Zeller will all have to bring their A-games. It will be fun to see how they respond to adversity. I'm not looking forward to losing and hearing dumbfucks say, "see, this is the same team as last year; can't win in the BT!"

I had a good feeling Sheehey and Jones would both be out. If I had to make a good guess, I would bet Remy gets to start. I can't see Crean starting Watford, Elston, and Zeller.
