Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I had a good feeling Sheehey and Jones would both be out. If I had to make a good guess, I would bet Remy gets to start. I can't see Crean starting Watford, Elston, and Zeller.
I would call that a bad feeling. ;)

Damn. Tough start to the Big Ten schedule just got tougher. Really worried that any kind of foul trouble against Michigan State could quickly put the game beyond reach.

damn tomorrow is gonna be tough, but i kinda figured this is how it would be. Wouldn't be surprised to see IU go "big" considering that Draymond Green plays the 3 for Sparty..

This Michigan State team is obviously better than last years, but so are we. Just remember, this was a game that we had won last year until we clanked a bunch of free throws. If that team can compete on the road at MSU, this team should be able to as well.

I'm really interested to see who starts and the potential match-ups.

If we go small, then I guess that leaves Olapadia on Dawson, Watford on Green, and Zeller on Payne.

Bob Knight always says that you don't worry about injuries, that's why you have 12 players.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

We have ten plus Moore and Pritchard.

The more names that get thrown out here the more obvious it is The General's saying doesn't hold water for our team. We're certainly not deep enough to be able to afford to lose two players like VJ and Sheehey for expended periods of time.

That is for sure. I don't think we can win consistently if Pritchard, Roth, and Moore play extended amount of minutes above what they have been playing. With Sheehey and VJ possibly out for the MSU game, I can see those three playing more minutes, especially Roth and Moore.

Matt Roth does two things well: shoot from range and he_never_turns_the_ball_over. He's not a good defensive player, but Moore can be abused by an even averaged sized or speed guard. Tom Pritchard? C'mon....

If you aren't amazed by Roth's two turnovers in 309 minutes in the last two years, then please find me ANY player at ANY position who has turned it over less. The whole 'he doesn't handle the ball much' doesn't hold water when you are talking about a player turning it over once every 150 minutes.

Yeah, that stat is impressive, but I think it still has a lot to do with his game. He only catches the ball 21+ feet away from the basket, and he either shoots it or makes a quick pass. It's a lot easier to never turn the ball over when you play that kind of game. But still an impressive stat nonetheless.

I agree. You don't see Roth bringing the ball up against the press or driving to the bucket.

Agree -- even with his game, there are quite a few guys like him that are catch and shoot or pass guys....I've never heard of one averaging a turnover every 150 minutes.
