Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Obama will crush Romney
I am very glad to see you say that based on your prediction history
I was unaware that your prediction history was far superior.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Obama crushed McCain, particularly in Penn.
Fixed your post...
Double fixed.

Mr Gray,

Do you think Romney can beat Obama?
he certainly can, but that is quite a different question from whether I think it is likely. If Romney gets the nod, Paul, Trump, Palin, or any others stay out of the independent circle, and no decent libertarian candidate runs, then yes...I think Romney would likely defeat Obama.

Obama has some serious weaknesses right now, and I don't see those getting dramatically better by next November, so as long as the GOP candidate isn't a victim of a split conservative vote, he should win.

You guys have too much faith in the voting public. Obama during campaign season is a force to be reckoned with.

When a president has been unpopular, the other party is best served by running the least polarizing candidate.

Obama will have a large contingent of republicans turn out to vote against him; Gingrich will have a large contingent of democrats turn out to vote against him. Romney may not inspire huge turnout, but he's not really going to spark a lot of people to vote against him. You may have some of the evangelical vote not vote....but a no vote is better than a vote against.

Gary Johnson is supposed to announce sometime soon that he is leaving the Republican Party and will run as a Libertarian in the Fall.

He doesn't have the name recognition of Paul, but he has a great record of success in both the private sector and as governor of New Mexico.

Great--so you and Eel will have another good candidate to vote for in '12!
