Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

So let me get this straight. Sorensen leaves the campaign basically because she has no shot of winning, and she claims he left for money? Then another one of her staffers publicly says that isn't the reason, and he is mysteriously "no longer with the campaign"

I would say that she is just the worst form of lying politician, but I think she goes beyond that. She is just batshit crazy.

I have nothing against Bachman but anyone who thinks that she has any business running for President, including herself, needs a little therapy, imo.

You putting Bachman and Paul in the same category is comical...

I love the Neo-Con term. I am not a neo-con.

Every candidate has has someone leave the campaign. She will be done with the race by the time new Hampshire is over if she stays in after a poor showing in Iowa.

Every candidate doesn't react the way she did to someone leaving, which is proof she is bat-shit crazy. Perot-like, if you will.

It is funny that you reacted so strongly to the neo-con term when it wasn't in reference to you. Hmmmmmmm...........

Brum,

I guess I really don't understand what a Neo-Con is. I just know that it is no me.

I don't think BG is a neo-con, nor do I really think Michelle is. Newt, Romney, McCain, Bush....there's basically your definition BG.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

I don't really see how one can say McCain is in the same boat as Romney and Bush. McCain was very rough on the Bush White house. McCain and Mitten had huge differences in 08.

The labels we try to put on people is really a distraction.

Mr Gray,

I realize that Ron Paul is your preferred candidate but you also like Mike Pence. Pence is more aligned with McCain than Paul. The truth is Paul, Pence and McCain have very different views on many topics.

McCain and Paul in 08 where somewhat close on immigration; and waterboarding and Gitmo.

Pence and Paul are closer on spending, Tarp, and taxes.

Pence and McCain held very similiar views on Iraq and Foreign Policy.

I found this article on it and

I disagree with Pence on foreign policy. Pence is a sponsor thefairtax bill, voted to audit the fed, and would end the fed...McCain would do none of the three.

As a Representative it is easy for Pence to say he supports ending the Fed. They all minus Paul play games with the Fed issue. Hence in 2010 when the Dems controlled the house. The audit the Fed bill had more co-sponsors than votes needed to pass it. They all knew Queen Nancy would never allow it to be voted on. 2011 when the Republicans controlled the house was it ever brought it up for a vote?

My point is these labels are silly because no two people have the same views on everything.

Brum,

I guess I really don't understand what a Neo-Con is. I just know that it is no me.
If you don't understand what it is, how do you know it is not you?

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/neoconservative

Two definitions:
1
: a former liberal espousing political conservatism
2
: a conservative who advocates the assertive promotion of democracy and United States national interest in international affairs including through military means

------------------------------------------------
By those definitions, only two primary candidates are not neo-cons: Paul and Huntsman. Bachmann is wishy-washy in this area, but she said during the debates that we needed to stay in Pakistan and after saying in May that we needed to get out of Afghanistan, by June she said we needed to 'stay the course' and that we were 'making great progress there'.
