Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Yeah that was a bad call by me, I'll be the first to admit it.

I talked to my bestfriend that lived in Louisville (just moved back to Bardstown) and asked him how the hell Louisville is ranked above us and even he was like "Damn dude, I didn't know that. That's a little fucked up"

They have the pieces to be a great team, they just aren't getting their players' best right now. Their center is a top 5 center in the country this year, and he's only a sophomore. And we all know about Chane Behanan. So maybe next year.. but yeah, bad call for sure.

two things IU has over UL:

1. Our players aren't gimme-gimme types...

2. Our coach is better.

3. Assembly Hall
4. 5 Championships
5. National fan base
6. Home court advantage. (Yes, UofL has a beautiful new arena.. but most games like 90% alumni. It's quiet)

Your coach is better?!?!?!
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

In ULs defense, they only lost by 7 AT Kentucky. and only lost by 3 to Gtown, who's ranked #12. I've not watched them play but just judging from those numbers, I'm not going to write them off and I think they'd give IU a heck of a game and I wouldn't be surprised if we lose to them on their court.

That UK/Lville game was very ugly to watch. Neither team shot the ball well. The reason UK won was because they killed Lville on the boards, kept getting to the free throw line, and Anthony Davis had a great second half.

At Purdue? Painter. I don't think Pitino would fit in at Purdue, but I think Pitino is a better coach at most places.

Of course you do. I guess there could be no way that Crean would be a better fit at IU than Pitino though.

So you agree that Painter is not a better coach than Pitino, just a better fit at Purdue?

I also would take Crean over Painter at Indiana. And I'd take Pitino over Crean at Indiana.
