According to Peegs, IU is looking into a possible sixth year of eligibility for Mo Creek. That means, we'd get him for the next years if the NCAA approves it. That would be the same as us picking up a JUCO guard next year. I think this could be a positive seeing how Crean likes to rotate guys at the pace that he does. It could be a good thing giving us a guard who's been in the system for four years. The downside is that it could effect our scholly situation to where we may not be able to take any more recruits for a couple of years. |

If there's any kid who deserves it, it's Creek. |

I just don't see it happening. I believe you are allowed to play in ~6 games and still get a redshirt. Creek has far surpassed that in his first 2 seasons, playing in 12 and 18 games. I could see them making an exception if he played maybe 7 or 8 one year, but 12 and 18 games isn't even close. I think Crean's logic is that, the cumulative time he missed the first two years is equal to ~30 games or 1 full season. I just don't think the NCAA will see it that way and I am not aware of another case in which that many games were played and an extra season was granted, especially considering it would be a 6th year too. |

I think there is a possibility that it could happen, given the circumstances. I hope it does, for his sake. If he got that extra year, he could use it to help springboard his career to possibly play professionally somewhere. I think he would need that extra year to start getting is game back. Here is to hoping he gets it!!! :chug: |
