Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Not sure what the level of competition is, but he really looks like a stud. Big Ten ready body means he's dominating opponents a lot smaller than him and won't look quite so dominant against guys his size. Still, it also means he'll help whatever team he commits to right away. Not sure if we're taking another '13 guy, but I'd be pretty happy if it was him.

would love to get this kid. looks like there could be a bit of conditioning to do, and some tinkering with the jumper...but at least we can be sure he knows how to dunk and block shots.

I believe he's lost quite a bit of weight (I want to say around 30 lbs. if memory serves correct) in the last year. He still looks a bit slow, but that can be improved upon.

The competition is legit, that's where Vic went... and I think he turned out alright. There's some good schools up east.

Also, I would rather have BJ than our latest commit, but maybe there's room for both? I think BJ is just more ready to contribute coming in, for sure. Hes already got a Big Ten body. He's got another year of high school conditioning at DeMatha which is great, and if we did happen to get him, I'm sure he'd be put on J'Ney's extreme workout lol. We have an awesome athletic trainer, which I think is a big part of our success as well. (EVERYONE grew from last year)

He is good friends with Vic, I think IU has a good chance of landing him. If i had to chose one or the other I'd take VBJ, but I could be wrong.

The thing I like most is Fischer's attitude. As much as you'd like to have only recruits who come in and contribute immediately, the reality is it's impossible to really play 13 guys regularly. You need guys like Fischer who want to come in, learn from the upperclassmen for 2 years, then contribute regularly. That being said, we lose Elston before 2013, so if we don't have another big ready to contribute in that class, we will have a really thin front court even if Jurkin can play some effective minutes.
