Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

So it going to be impossible to find a place to watch the IU game against Purdue on Saturday night? We have tickets for the NFL Fan Experience on Saturday at 2 and we were hoping to watch the game after that...
Hahaha, probably so. Lots of waiting, and things will be very pricey. I really hope you already have a place to stay.
I have a friend that goes to IUPUI and we're staying there, so we're good on that.

We just plan on walking downtown and living it up. Not worried about the price of things, but I'm hoping the lines aren't too ridiculous.

We were thinking about going to Buffalo Wild Wings downtown for the game. Any idea how long we'd have to wait to get it?
I'd plan on a good wait. Prolly an hour-ish. That place would be packed for a Purdue-Indiana game regardless of the Super Bowl.
Very true. I need to do some research this week on the NFL Fan Experience. I have no idea what it is, where it's at, or how long it lasts. Knowing those questions will make finding a bar or place to eat much easier.

Congrats, dreach!
I think the 9ers would have destroyed Brady. Giants did get enough pressure and Brady picked on our LBs all game. He wouldn't have been able to do that against SF.

Grats, Draycon. I was pleased to see Brady and Co. go down. It was a fun game to watch.

A woman I work with was taking her son for a college visit to Indiana Wesleyan during Superbowl weekend. She called down during the week to get a hotel room (she had completely forgot about it being Superbowl weekend) and was just trying to find to find the cheapest room available. One hotel she called said they had nothing under $150....she asked why and they said, "Ma'am, it is Superbowl weekend." She said "But I'm not going to the Superbowl, it's just a college visit", to which the manager replied "Why didn't you say so?" and the they magically had a room available for $75.

On the way home from the bars Sunday morning, our cab driver had his meter turned off and told us the minimum he'd do it for was $50. My roommate paid it although I thought that was complete bullshit (and we weren't really in a position to complain).

Is it even legal for them to have their meter turned off?

Between Gronk being hurt and the 49ers having the best LB core in the NFL, I think we would have ate them up as well.

What an amazing 2 months for the G-Men; well-deserving to be champions!

ESPN stumbling all over themselves this morning. Eric Mangini, on First Take this morning, graded Brady's game at a B+....after some facetious ribbing he said he could go A-......????? You gotta be fucking kidding me.

I thought Brady was good. Didn't have a Superbowl record 16 straight completions? The problem was that their gameplan was to dink and dunk so that they wouldn't give time for the Giants pass rush to get there. Left them in a lot of 3rd downs and many chances for the Giants to stop the drive.

Yes, but they were dropped.
