Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Tom Brady. Yeah I said it.
Yeah, if Manning was healthy, Brady would be him, Brees, and Rodgers in my book.
Huh?

Ok, Brady isn't overrated, but I still hate his guts.

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Obviously right now Manning isn't in the discussion because of his injury. But I think that at the top of their games, I'd take those 3 over Brady if I were making a team.

Carlos Boozer
Joe Johnson
Amare Stoudemire
Tyreke Evans
Jimmer Fredette
Ben Roethlisberger
Every NFL running back
David Beckham
Ronaldinho
Robinho
Fernando Torres
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
JR Smith
Monta Ellis
John Wall (so far..)

all come to mind. by no means an exhaustive list.
What is your reasoning on Ronaldinho?
reality?

one of the highest transfer fees of all time. never technically sound. he was pure flash. people once thought he was the greatest footballer of all time. messi laughs in the face of that.

all he did was pass (poorly) and dribble. he never tackled, defended, or did any other duties of a true midfielder.
Easy tiger, I was just asking. I don't really pay attention to soccer that much so figured I'd ask your opinion because I had always heard Ronaldinho was a stud.

Arguments to be made all around for any of them. I'm not sure about Rodgers. He looked dejected and downright scared during the Giants game.

He was probably a little bit of both. He spent a lot of that day running for his life, and that was a tough week for the Packers and a tough way to go out after going 15-1.

I wasn't being condescending but it might have come off like that (stupid internets). I figured you weren't much of a soccer follower because Ronaldinho is widely disliked by the soccer community. He's considered a stud by causal observers because he's flashy. He isn't good at anything.

He might actually be at the top of my all-time overrated list.

what say you Tim?

Also, I think Tom Brady has benefited the absolute most from the way the passing game rules have been changed. With that offensive line in front of him giving him all day, you literally cannot stop that offense. Eventually somebody is going to break free.

I still think Brady is a great QB and a HOFer, I'd just take other current QBs over him.

He's definitely up there for most overrated soccer player. His contract with Milan was just stupid. Sure he was fun to watch at times, but when did he ever do anything in the world cup? Other midfielder during his "prime" that were leaps and bounds better than him include Zidane, Ballack, Giggs, Scholes, Nedved, Gerrard, Lampard, Kaka, and those are just the ones off the top of my head.

That's a pretty good one.

Wes Welker
Ooh. I don't know about this one. Who else would you like to have in the slot?
That's kind of the thing, though....he's a slot reciever.

Anyway, this season I think it's pretty easy to argue that if you put Victor Cruz in Welker's position that he puts up even bigger numbers...Cruz basically didn't play the first two weeks and then put up over 1,500 yards in the last 14 weeks. The most telling stat to me: Victor Cruz averaged over 12 yards per time TARGETED -- about what Welker averaged per RECEPTION.

That said, I wouldn't call Welker overrated....but Cruz is incredibly underrated.

Gotta also keep in mind that Cruz spent a lot of time on the outside this year after taking over for Manningham. Plus Nicks didn't play every game which made Cruz the #1. Deeper routes and better numbers. I still agree with you though.
