Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I was a little surprised with the Superbowl being in Inday that Mellencamp isnt involved in the show somehow.

Madonna? Really? Not a big follower but has she really done anything notable in the last 5 or 6 years? And on top of that, most of her "music" sucks. If their intent was to bore us to death or make us change the channel, why didnt they save some money and just book Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood?
isnt that the same description for mellencamp...just add bad politics
pre-recorded techno bullshit with a 50+ yr old hag dancing VS. Actual musician from an INDIANA native playing live for a Superbowl........hmmmm.....let me think. R.O.C.K. in the USA it is.
I still think it should be the Big Tymers.

Come and join in song together, shout with might and main. Our beloved Alma Mater, sound her praise again. Gloriana Frangipana, E'er to her be true. She's the pride of Indiana, Hail to Old IU!

P.S. Dump Your Boyfriend (Phreakshow) should reunite for the big show.....they used to cover Like A Virgin, thats close enough to Madonna for me
LOL.....the synthesizer player (at least in a very early form of the band in 1980s) lived in my dorm when I was in college.

They actually were a pretty good cover band....I had a good time every time I saw them play. Of course I'm quite sure the beer played a huge part in it each time.

The length of their band name was simply horrible....and then I think they went out and changed it to another name that completely conjures up a different band image than they are.

Madonna will be horrible...but I have to thank all good forces in this world that we get another Toby Keith-free Superbowl. God bless the fucking USA.

Agreed on the name change but Ihave to say, matbe due to my lack of maturity in the early 90's, I actually loved the original name....it still makes me laugh. Good stage show + much beer = good time had by all
