That doesn't even remotely compare to losing Pujols. I'll say this, getting Wainwright back could be bigger than losing Pujols, but the Cards still have a TON of injury concerns. Here's a list of guys that are projected to start for them with either and injury history or concern. Freese Beltran Berkman Wainwright Furcal Craig Holliday Lohse With a full, healthy team I think they will be very good. The chances of them being a full healthy team very long stretched this year? Slim to none. |

every team has a chance that players get injured....so I guess I should state it better. If the Cards, Brewers, and Reds all stay healthy, I think the Brewers and Cards are better on paper than the Reds. Freese, Holiday, Berkman, Furcal, Beltran, and Lohse were all healthy at the end of last season.......are you basing your analysis on the possibility of them getting reinjured? All reports that I've read are that Wainright and Craig are about where they should be. There are alot of players in the MLB who have been injured before. |

As I said, guys with a history of injury (like Furcal) or with a current injury concern (like Craig). Of course any player can get injured, but when 7 of your 9 starters have a history of injuries or current injury concern I'm not sure anyone can reasonably expect that the team stays healthy the majority of the season. |

Colt, Berkman and Carpenter already getting cortisone shots and it's only spring training. I'd cross those fingers if I were you. |

I hear this every year. FYI, we won the World Series without Wainright....it's why they have a 40 man roster |
