We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Anybody who thinks Bruce Weber is a bad guy or a jerk is an idiot. Whatever mid major school that hires him will be a near instant success. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I guess I'm an idiot then. He publicly called out IU and said he thinks they're going to suck a couple of years ago. Of course we think he's a jerk. |

Agree DC, if you guys actually followed him more then the whole UoI vs IU thing you would know that he is too nice of a guy, and that is why he failed to develop talent with the illini. Ask anyone around the league, reporter or opposing coach, they will tell you the same. Take the fucking Hoosier googles off once in a while. He will be back at SIU. Stallings to the Illini anyone? I think the UI vs. IU rivalry will lose a lot of its luster with Weber gone. I think IU fans hated Weber more than the team/institution, and I think Weber really dislikes IU as well. Off the topic, I think they should reveal coaches' ballots for rankings, POY/All-Conference voting, etc. I know Weber voted for Burke for FOY (no surprise there), but I'd be interested to see if Zeller even made his 2nd team All-Big Ten. |

You tell us to take the Hoosier goggles off about an Illinois coach who once was an assistant at Purdue...and you do so with a sig under your post that has both Purdue and Illinois decorative material in it. You just can't make this shit up. |

Go see what Tom Izzo thinks about Weber. |

Well, you certainly have your moments. And that wasn't publicly saying Indiana sucked. It was at a private gathering for UI boosters and donors. He was playing to the crowd. If you take that as a serious indictment of the type of person he is, you need to re-evaluate some things. |
