Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

And my losing picks are officially in
How far you pick LBSU?

I ended up buying them last night, as well as the winner of the Iona/BYU game by myself, who I hope is Iona because they have several really good players, although they struggled a bit. I bought partial pieces of Memphis, Cincinnati, and NC State as well as Virginia (dirt-cheap price). All the 4 seeds and above were in the $500 dollar range and the #1s went for about $2000 apiece, so I didn't touch those.

If one of my teams makes a run it would be sweet, but I didn't put enough in overall to care if they lose early, which is expected. One thing I do like is that they even pay money for teams that win 1 game, so on several of those, I can turn a profit without a deep run.

They are my wild card, got them in the Elite 8. Kind of risky because they could very easily lose in the first round, but I've been on theirs and Wichita St's bandwagon most of the year so I've stuck with them.
lol
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

First day office pool results...

My 9 year old. 15 of 16. First place.
Wife who, while an avid sports fan, knows little about hoops. 14 of 16. Second place.
Dad. 12 of 16. Tied for 35th.

Every year this shit happens.

similar scenario for me when I was your sons age my dad would run a pool and I ended up winning about 120 bucks taking first place and let me tell you at that age 120 feels like a million

I'm not doing well in picks right now -- only 19 of 29 -- but my bracket isn't as busted up as most. I had Missouri losing in the elite 8 and Duke losing in the sweet sixteen.

FWIW, my TWAR ratings felt the two most overrated teams in the tournament were Duke and Michigan. Duke -- a two seed -- was rated as the 23rd best team and Michigan -- a third seed -- was ranked all the way down at 43. On the other hand, it loved Wichita State, which was ranked 8th overall despite being just a 5 seed.

I looked AWESOME after yesterday but look like an amateur after today. Only 12/16 of my Sweet 16 left. Not a recipe for success. There's always next year...

What the fuck was I thinking with UNLV? SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!

While I didn't have a ton of points, my bracket certainly wasn't busted...all final four alive and looking good. I am actually among the leaders in possible points.

But then I looked at KStan and saw he had more points and 4 more possible points than I do...and when I looked at his bracket, he had the same final four as me. There are only a couple of remaining games we picked differently. I believe under the best circumstances, I finish 1 point behind him.

All Final four teams intact actually all elite 8 teams intact. I wish that was not a true statement.
