Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I agree with those who think with the two wins by FSU and Vandy, IU may very well be a 5 seed! Didn't we go to the championship game in '02 as the 5 seed?

There's no way Vandy deserves a 4 seed over us. The only good win they have that we don't is over Marquette. They are a 10 loss team with a 10-6 record in a very poor SEC conference. Shouldn't happen, but that doesn't mean it won't.

I could see the committee giving Vandy the seed over us too. But not only does IU have better wins, but they won their last 5 regular season games while Vandy lost 2 of their last 3. The win over Kentucky was huge, but they beat two terrible teams to get to the finals.

Not seen it talked about much, mainly because I don't visit the PU side that often, but whaddya guys think? Do they come in at around a 9 or 10? I could be way off, other than their conference/out of conference W/L records, I don't really pay much attention to who they're playing.
We are projected as a 10 seed by Lunardi and a 9 seed by CBS. I have a feeling we are going to get the 9 seed in Kentucky's bracket. I would love to get a 10 seed and play Notre Dame.

I think IU probably got knocked down to a 5 seed. If they did, I don't see any way how they wouldn't be the #1 overall 5-seed. You would have to think that would lead the committee to slot them in Nashville.

So a 4-seed in the west or a 5-seed in Nashville would be fair IMO. Anything worse would be reason to gripe for a day or two, then play with a chip on our shoulder and prove 'em wrong.

I'm putting down 5...because it just seems like we're going to get dicked here...

br
If we get a 5, I will be extremely pissed.

Is the committee supposed to take injuries into consideration? If so, then I guess I could see it happening.
They certainly do. Purdue went from a 1 to a 4 because of Hummel's injury in '10.

I don't think Jones' injury will have that sort of affect though.
Purdue was ranked fifth before a 27 point tourney loss to Minnesota.

BTW, the one potential 13 (or 12) seed we don't want is Bellmont.

Looks like Dawson injury did not affect MSU seeding.

Mich State won the BTT!

I think IU will get a 4 seed. People often for get after they place the teams in the brackets they sometimes move a team up or down a line for misc. reasons.

Got the four...absolutely brutal teams, though for a 4 seed. Wichita State is a very good 5 and VCU obviously not a team you want to play. New Mexico State decent 13. And if we get through, seems like there's a team we're familiar with.

IU a 4 in the same bracket as Kentucky?! If we make it to the sweet 16, we'll play KY, assuming they get there... South Bracket... hmmm
