Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

hopefully we can break this little bad streak but since the field expanded in 1985, IU is 0-2 as a 4 seed...

Since 1985, 4 seeds have made the final four 10 times. That's less than 10% of the total final four teams.

Obviously, they still don't think IU can win away from Assembly Hall.

I think it's worth nothing that New Mexico State only beat one tournament team. They were 1 and 3 against tourney teams; interestingly, the only teams they played were New Mexico and Southern Mississippi, both whom they played twice but are not in their conference. They always play a home and home with New Mexico and they played Southern Miss in an early tourney and then later on.

Their only win against a tourney team came on November 16th, when they went to New Mexico and won 62-53. On December 28th, New Mexico avenged that loss with an 89-69 win at New Mexico State.

Indiana's games against tourney teams:

at NC State 86-75 win
Kentucky 73-72 win
Notre Dame (neutral) 69-58 win
at Michigan State 65-80 loss
Ohio State 74-70 win
Michigan 73-71 win
at Ohio State 63-80 loss
at Wisconsin 50-57 loss
at Michigan 56-68 loss
at Purdue 78-61 win
Michigan State 70-55 win
Purdue 85-74 win
Wisconsin (neutral) 71-79 loss

That's a total of 8-5 against tournament teams, including five wins against teams that are six seeds or higher.
