  • Why Indiana Will Beat Kentucky Again and Not Need a Last Second Shot This Time
Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Along with several articles from national media. Simply proving the point that experts and laymen alike were picking against us.

This is obviously just a fan article with no substance to back up any of his points.

I'm just saying you can't hate a website for the reason I'm assuming you hate bleacher report (the articles are mainly by random people) and then use them as a source. It would be the same concept as cherry picking from box scores.

You said you didn't hear about anybody picking New Mexico State. Bleacher Report is any schmo with a comp writing any crappy article they want, BUT it still showed that people were picking New Mexico State. Which is the whole point. Just because I hate BR doesn't mean that it wasn't true people were picking NMS. And then throw in the 3 or 4 other articles I posted along with names of several other experts who picked against us and I think I made a pretty clear argument that obviously you just hadn't paid attention to who people were picking.

I commented on hating this article (along with BR) because it is very poorly written with zero facts or data to back up the any of the author's points, a staple among BR. However, if you want to use it to say that at least 1 person is picking us against Kentucky than be my guest, because that's true.

Whatever. You're the one that said you didn't hear anyone pick NMS, then said you hadn't paid attention, then bagged on IU fans for celebrating the win too much. Real awesome.

they picked IU because it's just an IU fan. You could go write a BleacherReport article if you wanted..

True, true, false. My post was saying that I felt IU fans should expect more out of this team then a 1st round win against a 13 seed. I then went on to say that some of the celebration was justified because of the recent history of the program and that if all of those announcers picked against IU then I can see why you're giving them shit. Obviously, based on some threads on this board, IU fans expect more out of this team so I don't see why my original statement is so bad unless you only look at it from the spectrum that I'm trying to bash IU (which I wasn't).

This is noteworthy because cats normally root for Kentucky.

I thought it was rather strange as well. They are male cats so maybe that has something to do with it?

Here are a couple of your quotes

Quote:

By all means rag on the "experts" for picking against IU (Although I didn't hear any do that, I didn't listen to any talk about the IU game either.)

Quote:

I would boast if everyone picked against Purdue but the scenario is nowhere close to that.

Quote:

This was all I was trying to say last night. Congrats on beating the world though!

Not exactly a model of consistency. So let me get this straight.

1) It's OK to rag on experts picking against IU in the NMSU game
2) You didn't hear anyone pick against IU
3) But you also didn't pay attention to any talk of the IU game
4) And you would certainly boast if experts picked against Purdue
5) But that's not what happened here (Even though you didn't pay attention to any talk of the IU game)
6) So that's why you questioned why IU fans were boasting
7) And then took a dig at IU fans for how much we were boasting

When you can explain all that logically to me, let me know.
