Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I just want to say this has been one fun season. If anyone on this board said at the beginning of the season that this team would have 25 wins, be ranked most of the season, beat 3 top 5 ranked teams, and make it to the Sweet 16 after only winning 12 games last season, then I would have called you crazy. Adding a 5-star center has been a huge factor, but the improvement of all the other players on this team is the biggest reason for this team's success. Anyone who thought Crean needed to go after last season was unreasonable. This team wasn't suppose to have this kind of success for another year, but all the patience and hard work has payed off.

If we beat UK this Friday and move on to the Elite 8, I of course will be estatic. But if this is the end of the road for this team on Friday, it has been one amazing ride. I am just so damn proud of these players especially with all the letdowns, injuries, and criticism they've had to endure for the past 3 years.

And just think. This is only the beginning. We have a top 5 ranked recruiting class coming in, and I saw one preseason poll ranking us as high as 2nd. And we have even more great talent coming in the following years. It's great to be a Hoosier fan right now.

Amen crveech. I'm stoked as hell to have had the whole week knowing we've got at least one more game to play.

It's been unbelievable.

I agree. It's been an amazing year. So much fun.

I say we go ahead and win Friday, though...

Nice commentary, veech!

I know I've said this previously but it bears repeating; we all thought Dakich had fallen off his rocket when he predicted 22-25 wins. Turns out, he undersold us!

Certainly the most enjoyable season since 2002. This team has impressed me in every way imaginable and accomplished things on the court that I didn't consider in the realm of possibility before the season. And they did it while kicking ass off the court. Couldn't be happier.

I predicted 22 wins at the start of the year and that was generous. There's no doubt in my mind that Crean deserves National coach of the year. The things he's accomplished this year will always be remembered by IU fans who have been through the low times in the programs history. He's a great coach but more importantly he's a better person and values his players life beyond basketball. College basketball needs more coaches like coach Crean.

I think I said 18 wins and 8 in the big ten in our prediction thread. Couldnt agree more, this team has blown away expectations. I would love to beat Kentucky obviously but to me it's all good no matter what happens.

I've never before had a favorite IU team. However, after this season, I can say this team is it for all the reasons mentioned above. I was also fortunate enough to go to the NC State game where they came back from 7 down late in the 2nd half!

:goiu:

BEAT KENTUCKY!!!

Didn't really have anywhere else to put this, but it is an interesting little aside, so I will put it here.

Went to Indiana this past weekend to see the family. On the way back we decided to go to St Louis. Last night while there I was wearing an IU shirt and hat. Me and the family were stopped at an intersection while walking to the restaurant for dinner and as we were waiting a woman and man stepped up beside us. The woman looked at me and then out of the blue says "Indiana hoosiers! Now here is a man after my own heart." Then she started talking about how happy she was the team was doing well and how she thought they were gonna beat Kentucky.
Then later after we got back from dinner I had went downstairs at the hotel to get something out of the van. As I was waiting for the elevator to go back up and younger couple walked past in conversation and the guy in mid-sentence stopped looked at me and said "yeah hoosiers!" as he walked past.
Crazy stuff.

Oh and then on the way home today I saw a double rainbow...I'm taking it as a sign.
