Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I've not allowed myself to think about it, so I have no idea what I would do or how I would react.

Maybe some of you can, but I simply cannot imagine how I'd take it.

I'll be in Bloomington, so I will be getting very drunk and celebrating around Kirkwood.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

I would probably finish my beer and flip over to watch the end of the NCState/KU game.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

First of all, I'll be doing this:

:chug: :chug: :chug: :chug: :chug:

And probably this most of the game:

:banghead:

But if we win, about the only thing I could think of would be this:

:JOBE: :wanker: :JOBE:

Honestly, I'd probably be in so much shock I'd just sit there and stare the TV for a while.

I would just go nuts and probably watch the highlights over and over throughout the night. Hell, I don't know if I will be able to go to sleep.

I will sit in my room and cry in celebration for an hour or so. Then probably go out and find some sulking Kentucky fans to make fun of. Then text a couple of my friends who are Kentucky fans and give them shit. If we win it will be the best night of my life no doubt!!!

I may have told this story on the board at some point, not sure if I have or not. But in the 2002 Tourney when we were 17 down at the half and came back to beat #1 Duke, I don't really remember celebrating immediately. Even with a good 12 beers under my belt, I was more in shock then anything.

At first.

It was a nice clear night that night, so my wife and I decided to take a walk down by the Wabash River by the George Rogers Clark Memorial building. On the grounds of the memorial sits The Old Cathedral Catholic Church:

There were hardly any cars on the roads, and I hadn't seen a single soul in the 5 blocks that we had walked, but as I'm passing the church (from left to right in the pic to the memorial) I let out a scream (I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE WE JUST BEAT DUKE!!) that you could probably hear for 3 blocks...just as the three doors on the church opened with the flood of people rolling out from Saturday Night Mass.

I stopped dead in my tracks, as did the first wave of people that exited the doors...they gave me a WTF look for a couple of seconds, which seemed like minutes..and said:

WHAT?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? WE WON THAT GAME???

Last thing I remember was some holy rolling high fives and I commenced on my happy walk.

I would get on the computer and live it up with you guys for probably an hour while pounding beers at an alarming rate. Once I've read through the game thread and talked to you folks, I'd probably listen to This Is Indiana as well as the Kentucky vs. Indiana fans reactions videos for a good little bit while scurrying the internet for post-game interviews, locker room celebrations, etc. Depending on how moving those are/how drunk I am, I'll probably get pretty teary-eyed and then go lay in bed with a smile permanently etched on my face. Then, I'll wake up the next morning, go to work, and be tired as fuck but it would be well-worth it.

I'm missing the game because of work so I'll probably keep working.
