Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

One of his first five seasons was missed because of a suspension due to a pending assault case, yet he is cleared for a sixth season.

NCAA continues to show what it's about.

I didn't think he was with the team for that long. Must have been a no namer the first couple of years.

In other news, Jerry Sandusky and his lawyer are trying to get away 100% scotch free from ALL accusations. If that happens, along with the Casey Anthony trial, a long with a lot of other humanly FUCKED up ordeals that have been very public, I'm going to be all but convinced our world is ending soon. That is all.

Mbakwe originally played for Marquette in '07-08. Sat out per transfer rules in '08-09. Was suspended by Minnesota's AD for '09-10 for his assault case.

So he was actually in college basketball for three years before he ever played for Minny.

If they give him a sixth season, then they should give Creek a sixth season.

Had no idea that he played at Marquette, makes sense now though, considering I remember CTC saying that he recruited Trevor heavily. He looks like an old man haha.

This pisses me off, there is no rhyme or reason to who gets granted a sixth year or not.

There wasn't a medical reason or some other personal external situation that caused him to miss a year game time. It was his own stupid decisions.

Then you have a guy like Keith Smith who does everything the right way and gets denied. (FWIW, As much as I like Marve and think he's turned himself around, with his implications in the Miami ordeal he shouldn't of gotten a sixth year either IMO)

Im really excited to FINALLY see a full season out of Creek next year. He's been around our program all this time and I think that alone, will prove to be valuable in establishing even more depth at the guard position.

Is it too early to start a Hoosier Hysteria 2012 thread? ugh... WHY is it taking so long!

Totally agree with everything in your post. First guys I thought about were Smith and Matt Waddell...though Waddell was a long time ago.

Missing a year due to suspension/criminal charge should have eliminated him from any consideration.

It would be interesting to see how much Creek could contribute after everything he's been through.

Either way, it would be disgusting if he were denied.

yeah, totally... so if Creek gets that sixth year, he's going to be with us until the end of the 2014-2015 season. I really like that idea a lot.

And Guy-Marc Michael never was even allowed to put on a uniform.
