Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

here is an article that explains how confusing this process is...

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/blog/_/name/katz_andy/id/7721794/new-draft-rule-serves-more-confusion

Sounds pretty confusing and ridiculous to me. There really is no 'testing the waters' anymore because by ncaa rules you have to decide by April 10 (one week after final four). however, by NBA rules u dont have to declare until April 29. So for instance watford can tell crean he is coming back on April 10 but he can still declare for the draft if he wants to. it will just be screwing over the coaches. The reason they have the april 10 deadline is so coaches can have a month before the spring signing period to recruit new players if they had players that left for the nba.

here is a quote..."Jackson said underclassmen cannot work out for teams until they are notified about who is eligible for the draft. They won't get that list until May 2."

Thanks for posting. I don't think we have to worry about our players not being honest, so I guess we'll know where we stand in a couple of weeks.

Good article. The only thing I disagree with is this:

"This is the most egregious thing the NCAA has done," said former grassroots basketball advocate and longtime shoe company liaison Sonny Vaccaro. "They are empowering themselves for the benefit of themselves. There is no turning back from this decision. They've drawn the line in the stand. The athletes have no rights. "This is so self-serving to coaches to guarantee that players will play on their teams."

Vaccaro said that the coaches who voted for this rule "are some of the most egregious people."

Sonny Vaccaro has no right to ever call anyone egregious.
