Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I can understand the fan favorite sentiment. I can't understand the "Kerry Wood was a good pitcher" sentiment. He had a pretty good rookie season but the only positive statistical category that he was even in the top 10 (in just the National League) was SO/9. He also had the 3rd worst (in the NL) BB/9...which pretty much cancels out the SO/9.

Had he not had a 20K game, he probably would be just another casualty of the game.

Excellent post, Bri.

Exactly why I didn't realize how much the fans love him.
No love for my post? I feel used... :(

Haha, well I must have skipped over your post somehow, because I just read it for the first time. Not too shabby though! :D

Here's something to root for. Mark Prior is attempting a comeback with the Red Sox. He has 20 strikeouts in 9 innings in AAA (though he also has 8 walks).

Wrong. He lead the league in H/9 with 6.3.

Kerry Wood was a pretty good pitcher who was had tons of injuries and missed a lot of time.

If you don't think he was at least good, then remember his lifetime WHIP is only .04 higher than Felix Hernandez's.

The boys are actually playing some decent ball. Won 11 of the last 15 and climbed out of the cellar in the central.

The bidding for Dempster has begun. He's been a good pitcher, great teammate, and loyal Cub for a long time. Hate to see him go, but he's got major trade value for a rebuilding club.

Be nice to see Soriano gone too.
