Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Sources saying Petrino out now. Press conference tonight.
With the way he's turned around the program, that's a bold decision. Congrats to Arkansas for putting morals above winning though.
I agree. And judging by reaction on the radio and local news stories online and facebook, it isn't a popular move.

You know who the real loser is? Gus Malzahn. If he would have just stuck with Auburn for the off season the job would be his for the taking.
After a bit of research, why can't he leave Arkansas State?
Well he certainly could, but he doesn't strike me as the type that would leave before the beginning of his first season.

Especially not considering the fact that a big part of the reason he took the job in the first place is because he is friends with the athletic director.
Obviously didn't know that about them being friends. Still, it would be virtually impossible to take the State off Arkansas if given the opportunity...
Yeah he wasn't even a candidate for the job because everyone figured he would be taking a better job in a BCS conference sooner or later. Apparently the AD called him to get thoughts on some of candidates and they ended up talking for awhile and somehow he ended up with the job.
It would be hard to say no, but unless the AD just says "listen i understand the position and there will be no hard feeling if you take it" i don't see him doing it.

She was his mistress previous to the hire, paid her $20,000. The hiring process was shorter than normal, he was just going through the motions before hiring her.

The AD had no choice. The fans rallying for Petrino are fucking idiots.

Yeah, the more info that comes out, the worse it all seems.

I feel sorry for the swimming director she was engaged to and Petrino's family.

His press conference of him in a neck brace with his Sugar Bowl hat on was priceless. It was basically saying " Hey, I just screwed up big time, but remember we went to a BCS game last year!"
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I would think lying to your boss goes beyond the moral aspect. There are clauses in these guys contracts about embarrassing the university. I'm glad they did it for cause, this worm does not deserve a buyout.

Shoulda stayed at Louisville, ya DUMBASSSSS!!!!

And I agree about the neck-brace/Sugar Bowl. Saw a picture of it for an article yesterday and just laughed. Not right of me to do, but hey, he brought everything he is getting right now on to himself.
