Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

That is absolutely ridiculous. Football is a violent sport. Yes there are things you can and should do to protect the players. Completely changing the game is not one of them. I already think they have gone too far in protecting the QB's and receivers.
Before long it is going to be like watching a 7 on 7 tournament.

LOL at the shady NFL business that all of a sudden is so worried about their players safety. Maybe this has to do with the large amount of lawsuits the NFL has against it with its former players? **hmmm I wonder***

Stop changing the game we love, unless the players are all for it. You have to be tough to be a football player... this isn't a cliche statement, it's the damned truth. There's a reason your mommy didn't want you to join when you were 8...

If they're going to go through ALL of this trouble to change the RULES of the game, why in the hell won't they make the EQUIPMENT safer first? Retards man. You think someone with business savvy would lead the front for the NFL. Changing the rules and making it a vaginal sport will only tune away followers.

And the "big deal" with Nike over the uniforms? LOL They just added "checks" to the shoulders of my Raiders uniforms. Literally. That was the "big" change. Different fabric, with THEIR name. Groundbreaking stuff there, Nike. Stumbled out the gates with that one.

Considering all of the touchbacks on kickoffs this season, they might not even need to change the rules.

I totally agree about making the equipment safer. How about an inch of foam on the outside of the helmet? Ok, it would initially look funny having a bunch of guys running around with enormous melons, but it would make the game much safer, IMO.

I've thought this for a while. Some sort of impact absorbing material on the outside of the helmets. Can't imagine that having hard shells crashing into each other is the best method.

Umm actually the teams pretty much told Nike what they wanted the design to be. Nike wasn't going to change 32 teams' uniforms because it wasn't warranted. And they didn't botch anything, Nike will sell a shit ton of jerseys, make a lot of money, and they didn't even have to pay a ton of designers to re-do the whole league's kits. Business win.
Death to Signatures.

well, seeing as how it's already flag football with quarterbacks and touch football with receivers...hardly surprising.
