We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! I don't see how this case relates to the Zimmerman case in the slightest. |

I mean at the very basic you could say it's an unarmed man being shot to death while the other person claims self defense. The similarities pretty much stop there though. |

I think that is the connection. You don't think the stand your ground law makes it any harder to prove a case if the prosecution is filing charges? I would think that the law is another obstacle to overcome when proving something beyond a reasonable doubt. Just a guess. |

I honestly am not sure the Stand Your Ground significantly changes anything. I mean the argument of self defense existed before Stand Your Ground. It's just a question of whether you truly need to use deadly force in your defense. Stand Your Ground protects your right to do that. The difficulty in the investigations is trying to determine whether you were actually defending yourself or not. Not the manner in which you defended yourself. |

Maybe the FBI never got the original, un-doctored 911 audio tapes? |

Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism. | |

http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/autopsy-results-show-trayvon-martin-had-injuries-h/nN6gs/ SANFORD, Fla. — WFTV has confirmed that autopsy results show 17-year-old Trayvon Martin had injuries to his knuckles when he died. Zimmerman: 2 black eyes, broken nose, cuts on back of head Martin: Injuries on knuckles I believe it was brum who earlier mocked the idea that Martin could have actually been beating up Zimmerman, and bliver questioned the authenticity of Zimmerman's head cuts. Anyone care to spin this? |
