If I could have 5 minutes alone with that motherfuckin piece of fucking shit, I would forego everything I have previously said about protecting life, and gladly be called a hypocrite. I just don't understand how anyone could do such a thing. I have a daughter, a sister, and a mother and this video makes me think how I would feel if that were one of them. |

I thought the prosecutor's opening statement was pretty strong and sums up what the case is really about: [utube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tttdPpZx3EY[/utube] The opening starts at 20:30. |

you are admittedly at least as biased as the Prosecutor though. |

I believe that GZ was wrong, from the moment he startet chasing TM, yes. Does that make me biased? Maybe so, but as I am not on the jury, I am free to have my own opinion about it. |

A few things mentioned in there that are new or haven't been discussed yet on here. 1) The darkness of the alley. 2) The prosecution says that there was too little time between Zimmerman's phone call and the shooting for anything significant to take place, but then says Martin and Zimmerman had a heated exchange that lasted much longer than Zimmerman says. Not sure how that's really possible unless we're talking about the difference between 10 and 30 seconds. 3) The 2nd 911 call recorded by a neighbor 4) The fighting lessons. 5) No DNA of Zimmerman on Martin's fingernails or hands. A lot of interesting things here, but I still see nothing that's concrete enough to lead me away from the belief that the entire case hinges on Martin's girlfriend's testimony and believability. |

for me, I'm not sure that the girlfriend's testimony matters much at all. Her word against Zimmerman's, both obviously biased. The lack of DNA on the hands or fingernails means a lot to me though...curious what the defense's response is to that. Wouldn't he have GZ DNA all over him if he was beating his ass? |

I don't know why people would question the girlfriend's testimony. She does not have a reason in the world to lie. GZ does. If he is guilty and he lies (and the jury believes him), he can avoid prison. Plus, he is already a proven liar. In court. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/george-zimmerman-credibility-issue-legal-case-bond-revoked-article-1.1088745 |

She already lied. She told police she didn't attend the funeral because she was in the hospital....which was a lie. Check out her twitter....then tell me how credible her words appear. What's your thoughts about the prosecution witness testifying that she heard "pop, pop, pop" (3 gunshots) when there was only 1 shot? How about claiming to only see "shadows" that night but testifying that she "thinks" Zimmerman was on top of Martin while another "witness" testified that the one on top was dressed in dark clothes (Zimmerman wore red, Trayvon wore black)....she also stated she "thought" Zimmerman was on top....?? Either these are terrible "witnesses" or there has been some coaching going on. Just my opinion. |

IUCOLTFAN, I was under the impression that the girlfriend was in a different town at the time, so there is no way she could have seen anything. Also, I haven't heard that she lied about the funeral - maybe you can post a link? Still, I don't see her having any reason at all to lie about what she heard on the phone that night, right before TM was killed. Do you think she has some kind of psychotic wish to frame GZ, a man she has never met? The point in my previous post was, GZ has a direct interest in his "version" of the story being the one believed. AND, he has already proven that he is not afraid of lying to the court for his own benefit. I haven't had the time to see testimony from yesterday or today yet, as my work is always extremely busy during summer. You are mentioning witnesses thinking they saw something...as dreachon mentioned earlier today, it was dark. Red could look dark in the dark, if you know what I mean. I think it is pretty clear that not everyone makes a good eye (or ear) witness. Did you consider the fact that it probably was a pretty scary experience for these people? I mean, there are all kinds of reasons why people's memories could get messed up. I just don't understand what motive all these people would have to conspire against GZ, for no reason. Maybe you know something I don't? |

Just pointing out early inconsistencies. You should really do some research on the "girlfriend". If she is the key to this, IMO, the prosecution is fucked. Her twitter is full of references to smoking weed, getting drunk (she's 19), drinking a driving, pics of her manicure (which she refers to as her "court nails"), and a mass amount of, I'm assuming, "Ebonics" drivel that is almost unreadable and makes her appear illiterate.....it's nothing that makes her appear credible. |

No idea. Just pointing it out so maybe you could get a better idea of who she is. she has lied to police, i would think that you would find that to be at least a little bit of a problem. Read a report that her testimony was so mumbled that it was slowing down court.... She appears to be a real gem Edited by IUCOLTFAN, Jun 26 2013, 04:36 PM.
