Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

LMAO.

First, it's ok in the MLB to admit you physically assaulted someone and keep your job. Second, apparently your First Amendments Rights do not apply in this profession.

Mike Rizzo fined for his comments directed towards Hamels:

Someone please enlighten me as to why professional sports, or at least some, are permitted to operate by a separate set of laws than the rest of then country. I seriously don't get it.

Agree with Boat, Jaz and Btown. The bad thing is that Harper by all accounts plays hard every game and I have yet to hear him say something stupid in the media. Love the fact that he stole home. If it was me after I slide into home I would have just eyed Hamels and gave him a shit eating grin and tipped my cap as if to say "hey thanks for putting me on base douchebag"
Cole Hamels is a jerk; Bryce Harper is a jerk. Harper gets hit by a pitch, Hamels gets shown up later. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Anyway, Hamels' five game punishment is in line with other times that a pitcher has acknowledged throwing at a player and the punishment fits the crime.

If this is a first amendment issue, then Hamels wouldn't have been suspended. He wasn't ejected from the game; he is suspended because he admitted to throwing at Harper.
