Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

That article is pretty presumptive to say she is "just beginning" and can repeat at the next Olympics. At the 2016 Olympics she'll be 20 years old. Oldest player on the team this year was 18. Nastia Liukin failed miserably at qualifying this year at the age of 21. 20 years old is borderline retirement for these girls.

Oh hell yeah! I am so happy for her. Wonder if she has made a college choice yet?

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

Indiana University!

I hear Tom Crean's tweet was actually to her. She really ate it up.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Don't derail the Olympic thread please. This has been a fun thread of rooting on our Olympic athletes...let's keep it that way.

That swim was incredible. 200M isn't that far of an event for these athletes, and she absolutely destroyed them. And to beat a world record by that much is almost unheard of at the 200M distance. Probably the most impressive swim I've seen so far.

3 Golds and one Silver (Jones in the 50M Free) today at the pool. Pretty damn salty.

Oh yeah, I heard about them. World-records falling like leaves in the fall. Here's a pretty good article on them for anyone who hasn't...

I guess I should have, but I didn't realize the WR she broke was from the illegal suit days. It would be interesting to know what that WR was before those suits were introduced.
