Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I wonder if they'll play the Taylor Swift video 'Change' as an intro like they've done previously.
Let's hope not

BTW, are there any actual events on NBC tonight or just the opening ceremonies? Personally I've never gotten into the opening ceremonies.

I put on the ceremony and there were like giant puppets floating around. What the fuck?

I've flipped it on several times and found it to be dumb as hell each time, which is par for the course. My sister seemed to think it was outstanding, though haha. I'm ready for the competitions, personally.

I believe the last time I watched the opening ceremony for any olympics was the winter olympics in 92 in france.

I will probably watch more of the events than i plan on, but have no interest in the opening and closing ceremonies. They just seem stupid to me.

Seriously? what are you not getting? what could possibly say more about the hard work and perseverance put into the sports by these athletes than 15 minutes of interpretive dance by a 12 foot muppet?

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

The best rendition of this song I've ever heard.

Wambach gets punched in the face while running down the field. Comes back and scores a goal. #suckitcolumbia
