Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Eel, your girl (Missy Franklin) is turning into an American sensation. Her personality is so engaging...makes her impossible not to like.
Plus she is a hell of a swimmer.
Well, obviously, or they wouldn't talk about her in the first place. It's going to be hard to turn down those endorsement deals after she gets home from London.
Why would she turn them down?
Same reason she can't accept prize money...so she can swim on her high school swim team next year and remain amateur status.

And eligibility for NCAA purposes.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

Yep.

I'd have to imagine some huge offers are coming her way, though.

The least I could do for everything you've taught me over the years.

I don't really get it. We get creamed in the 400 and then we blow out the field in the 800. Are the races really so different?

Lochte got creamed and we BARELY lost. Point taken though, and the same thought crossed my mind. That event there was child's play for us.

Yeah. I mean we had a huge lead in the 400. It really was just Lochte that got creamed. Man that was strange.

Verysimilar to what Lezak did in 2008 with just an unbelievable split in the last 100. Almost eerie how we did it to the French in Beijing and France returns the favor in London.

Lezak's was crazier cuz it was entirely unexpected. Agnel is a beast, but Lochte was supposed to be the best in the world now. Obviously not.

I'm not going to sit here and act like I follow swimming around the calendar.

With that being said, Lochte hasn't lived up to the hype he was getting coming in.
