| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! If you haven't heard of the baseball's three true outcomes, they consists of home runs, walks, and strikeouts. Only eight times in the history of MLB has a player won the Three True Outcome Triple Crown for his league, and four of those were by one player (Babe Ruth). The other times consist of a group of pretty good players -- Hack Wilson, Mickey Mantle, Mike Schmidt, and Dale Murphy. The TTO Triple Crown has occurred half as much as the actual Triple Crown. Adam Dunn currently leads the AL in all three category, and barring injury the only one he could possible lose is home runs (he currently leads Josh Hamilton by 2). But it goes further....Dunn actually leads both leagues in all three categories. That has only been done once before in MLB history (by Babe Ruth). His current pace would put him at 47 home runs, 115 walks, and 235 strikeouts (which would shatter the previous high of 223). |
