Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Don't need a QB, we have Gunner Kiel. Oh wait, his sorry ass is at ND and is nowhere to be found on the depth chart.

I wouldn't be surprised to see gunner transfer idk if he'd go to IU but its pretty obvious he isn't going to see the field at ND.... Ever

We're in the running for a 4* QB for the 2013 class... would be nice to get another decent QB to finish off the 2013 class

News broke earlier today that Indiana had withdrawn its scholarship offer to Jacobi Hunter from Houston (TX) Cypress Falls H.S after the defensive tackle scheduled a visit to California.

I've heard grades speculated, but it was only speculation. Might be something as simple as you're either all in or you're out. Obviously, he was looking around...

Peegs.com has learned that Nigel Tribune from Jacksonville (FL) Raines H.S. has committed to Indiana. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound cornerback is the 19th member of the 2013 recruiting class for Kevin Wilson and his coaching staff, and the fourth commit from the state of Florida.

Kid is 2 star...

ESPN has him as a 3 star and that IU lured him away from Iowa State

Saw an article yesterday (on Peegs I think) where they spoke with his HS coach and clarified the situation. Coach says the kid misunderstood. He was looking around after IU's D-Line coach (Hagen) left for Texas A&M and scheduled a visit with California. IU told him that if he was looking around they were going to open up his spot and continue recruiting other DTs. Coach was nothing but complimentary of the IU coaches and the program and said he understood that the IU program had to protect itself and that's the way that recruiting works. Said they haven't ruled out a return to IU for the kid, but at this point I would doubt it.

IU ties for 1st in the nation in returning starter next year with 19. However, given our starters last year I'm not so sure this is a good thing.

Yeah but they did play decent.... They did a lot of good things on offense. Hopefully we can pick up some solid players on defense. It's impossible for a team to have a shitty defense, like we did, and contend in the B1G.

If you look at the recruits we are bringing in... Most are on defense. I am actually excited about next years team. I think it's bowling time.

Its all about how the returning players develop in the off season. Add in some solid defensive recruits and I think our team can make some noise. We have to play better right out of the gate and learn how to win the close game.

Off season storyline I'm interested in is the QB situation and improvements on D.

Despite receiving a scholarship offer from a Division I school to go along with offers from several smaller schools, Ty Smith could not turn down an invitation from Indiana to join the football program as a preferred walk-on. The 6-foot, 175-pound wide receiver has always wanted to play Division I football and he felt like IU was the best place for him to achieve that goal. Peegs.com talked to the talented prospect about his decision to play for the Hoosiers.
