Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Villanova now has wins against Louisville, Syracuse, Marquette, and Georgetown. They may have some bad losses, but this team is in the tournament in my opinion.

Miami and Georgetown go down today.

Who said on here that we're going to get a 3-4 seed as it stands today? lol.

br
Miami now has lost two straight, including a home game to a team that won't make the tournament.

They can not win the national championship.
definitely has no chance. they aren't one of the elite teams that wins against every single quality team they face and never lose to bad ones...

Big Ten tournament seeding scenarios:

Going to operate on the following assumptions:

Wisconsin wins their last game at Penn State
Ohio State beat Illinois at home in Columbus
Michigan State wins their last game hosting Northwestern

Assuming those three things happen, that would leave the two big games of importance: Wisky at Michigan State (which is tomorrow) and Indiana at Michigan (Sunday).

Possible results:
Michigan State beats Wisky, Indiana beats Michigan

Standings:
1 seed: Indiana 14-4
2 seed: Ohio State 13-5 (wins tiebreaker over Michigan State)
3 seed: Michigan State 13-5
4 seed: Wisconsin 12-6 (wins tiebreaker over Michigan)
5 seed: Michigan 12-6

Indiana would play the winner of the 8/9 game and if they won, would play the winner of Michigan/Wisky in round two.

Scenario 2:
Michigan State beats Wisky, Michigan beats Indiana

1 seed: Indiana 13-5 (wins tiebreaker over Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State)
2 seed: Ohio State 13-5 (wins tiebreaker Michigan and Michigan State)
3 seed: Michigan 13-5 (wins tiebreaker over Michigan State)
4 seed: Michigan State 13-5
5 seed: Wisconsin 12-6

Indiana would play 8/9 seed winner; if they win, they would play winner of Michigan State v. Wisconsin

Scenario 3:
Wisky over Michigan State, Indiana over Michigan

one seed: Indiana 14-4
two seed: Wisconsin 13-5 (wins tiebreaker over Ohio State)
three seed: Ohio State 13-5
four seed: Michigan 12-6 (wins tiebreaker over Michigan State)
five seed: Michigan State 12-6

Indiana plays winner of 8/9 seed and if they win plays the winner of Michigan v. Michigan State

Scenario 4: Wisky beats Michigan State, Michigan beats Indiana

One seed: Wisky 13-5 (wins tiebreaker over Indiana, Ohio State, and Michigan)
Two seed: Ohio State 13-5 (wins tiebreaker over Indiana and Michigan)
Three seed: Indiana 13-5 (wins tiebreaker over Michigan)
Four seed: Michigan 13-5
Five seed: Michigan State 12-6

Indiana plays winner of 6/11 game and if they win they play the winner of Ohio State v. 7/10 game.

So, basically if Michigan State beats Wisconsin tomorrow, IU has the 1 seed locked up. Still, I would love to sweep Michigan.

i want to win the big title outright. in my mind, especially given unbalanced schedule this year, that is the best test of one's mettle. sure, the ncaa is where it's at in the end and the big tourney will get guys sporting souvenir Ts and what not...but an 18 game slog is what it's really all about...other than a ncaa title that is...

I believe so, with one possible exception -- that would be if Michigan State were to beat Wisconsin but then lose at home to Northwestern....then it gets a little more complicated. Basically, if we are in a multiple team tie, we want Michigan State to be involved in that tie. That only occurs if Michigan State wins out.

Obviously I want to win it outright as well. But if we do end up in a share, I would like to have the one seed in the BTT if it meant the best path to win that as that would affect seeding.

Really Minnesota? Of course Mbakwe plays out of his mind against us...then the entire team disappears and they lose @ Nebraska.

LOL....Nebraska fans stormed the court for the upset of the unranked 8-8 Big Ten team.

There represents a real chance that Iowa and Purdue both end up with better seeds in the BTT than Illinois and Minnesota. If Iowa wins at home against Nebraska, Ohio State wins at home against Illinois, and Purdue wins at home against Minnesota, then Iowa would be the six seed and Purdue would be the seventh. That would mean the one seed would play the one seed would be playing against the winner of Illinois/Minnesota, two teams that supposedly are in the NCAA tourney.

Cannot understate how enjoyable it is to see those cheating blue bastards and their slime ball coach go down in flames this year.

Sincerely,

Question: if they miss the dance (the only way I see them making it would be for them to beat Florida and win at least one SEC tourney game or win the SEC tournament), will Cal accept an NIT bid?

Is there any chance we get shipped to Lexington for 1st/2nd Rounds...how funny would that be?..us there while those pricks stay home and go to the NIT.
