Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

BTW, the last time Indiana swept both Michigan State and Michigan in the same year was 1991.

This will be my last weekly overview for the season since we're heading into Championship Week.

Teams that impressed me:

Duke - I know we don't have any Duke fans here, but give credit where credit is do. They destroyed Virginia Tech at home. But what really impressed me was how they took control of the game at UNC right from the start. Remember that UNC played well at Cameron Indoor and were playing so much better lately. But Coach's K team looked dominant in Chapel Hill.

Villanova - The Wildcats had only one game this week, but they made it count big. Nova took down a Georgetown team that was one of the hottest teams in the country. I think they have enough good wins to get in the tournament.

Iowa State - The Cyclones finally got that big win by taking down Oklahoma State at home. They followed that up by avoiding a potential trap game at West Virginia. I think Iowa State is in good shape for Selection Sunday.

Creighton - The Bluejays may have turn things around. They completely dominated Drake and Indiana State in the MVC Tournament and followed that up with a close win over Wichita State to claim the title.

Teams that disappointed me:

Minnesota - Is this the same team that IU lost to just a week ago? How they hell do you go from beating the number 1 ranked team one week, and then losing to Nebraska and Purdue the following week? There are a lot of Jekyll and Hyde teams this season, but the Gophers are the poster boys this year.

Oregon - The Ducks had a chance to win the Pac-12 championship outright this week and blew it big time. They got trounced at Colorado and followed that with a loss at Utah. Not a good way to end your regular season.

Syracuse - The Orange have a lot of issues right now. They ended their long, historic rivalry with Georgetown by not showing up on Saturday. The Cuse put up on 39 points, which is the lowest points scored for this program since Jim Boeheim has been there.

Congrats to former Hoosier Bobby Capobianco, who will get to play in the NCAA's as part of the Valpo team that won the auto bid from the Horizon League last night.

It's cool because I feel the same way. It's great to see my alma mater back in the tournament, but there's no chance in hell I would pick them over IU.

Ok, final ten seconds and the Hilltoppers have the last shot, down by one against IU. Do you cheer for them to pull off the upset?

It would be amazing for WKU to win, but I'm not a die-hard Toppers fan as I am a Hoosier fan. I remained a true IU fan during their dark years and have witnesses the resurrection of the program. I would pull for IU in the final seconds.
