Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Down goes UK at home to an unranked Baylor team that just lost at home to College of Charleston. Funny they replaced IU with Baylor and still lost their home winning streak.
UK with more losses already than they had all season last year. The state of Kentucky is officially on suicide watch as of today.

Wonder what they'll blame it on this time.

Well, that was never the reason for wanting neutral site games.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

He actually replaced UNC with Baylor (people forget Cal dumped UNC, too). It looks like they moved Portland (a game they started playing Terrence Jones' freshman season) into the IU slot.

Butler and UK currently engaged in one of the uglier games of the season...
baylor maybe?

either way, doesn't matter. i'm sure cal has his sights set on next year already. if he doesn't have a nba top tier freshman class coming in...then what's the point...right?
Better hope some of those guys go to the NBA. If a couple stick around, and they add Wiggins to their 2013 class, they'll almost certainly be preseason favorites next year.

I'd assume Noel and Poythress will go. EDit: Goodwin is probably gone too.
If you go to Rupp Rafters, they assume they will win the title next year. To be fair, if none of their guys leave this year, they most doubtedly are the favorites....but I'm positive Noel goes at the minimum and all three are probably likely.

Well, if they get Wiggins, they'll be absolutely stacked. This year's freshmen were never going to be as good as the Wall/Cousins class and the Davis/Gilchrist class. Also Lamb, Jones, and Miller played a huge part in last years' success, this year's team has no sophomore or junior that are in that ability range.

I didn't realize how high up draft boards Goodwin was, but Noel is definitely gone, I think the same for Poythress.

Yeah well it's Cal's fault he has no sophomores or juniors near that talent level so...

This still blows my mind. I saw the kids play 3 full games and most of the second half of another, and I was never very impressed with him.

he played my wife's nephew's team twice and both times got outplayed by a kid named Raheem Appleby that now plays at Louisiana Tech.

Yeah, he seemed like a Doron Lamb type to me. Good player, but not really a lottery pick type after one season. The draft isn't that strong this year, but man, that kind of baffles me.

Like I said, I can see what the scouts see. He is long, athletic, and pretty quick off the dribble for someone his size. He is pretty explosive, and he never seemed to shoot well in the games i saw him play but has a good looking stroke and the shots LOOKED like they were gonna go in.

He isn't the best ball handler though, and the games that i saw him play he looked like he was frustrated very easily, and once frustrated, he just started jacking up shots to prove he was good. He also wanted to dominate the ball, and forced a lot of stuff. Just seemed really immature.

Like I said the physical side is there, but the mental side, I'm not sure. And playing in Arkansas it isn't like he went up against the best competition.

I will say this, if he is projected that high, i would be surprised if he doesn't go. From all the stuff I heard about him, he was never too interested in college, just wants to play in the NBA.
