Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Glad I'm not alone. Means nothing to me, outside of IU locked in at #1 and PSU last.

The most likely scenario, IMO, is

1. IU
2. OSU
3. UM
4. MSU
5. Wisky
6. Iowa
7. Purdue
8. Minny
9. Illinois
10. Neb
11. NW
12. PSU

Wow, that is a big spreadsheet. I think I have spreadsheet envy.

It's now down to the last 16 rows of that table for the possible outcomes with today's results in.

For IU, here are the important ones:

As the 1 seed, we will play the winner of the 8/9 game. It's guaranteed that Minnesota will be in that game. If Illinois wins at Ohio State tomorrow, than Minnesota will play Purdue in the 8/9 game. If Illinois loses, then Minnesota will play Illinois. So I would bet on playing the winner of Illinois/Minnesota, but things have been pretty wacky lately.

If we win that game, we would be playing the winner of the 4/5 game. If we beat Michigan tomorrow, then seven of the eight scenarios have Wisconsin playing against Michigan in the 4/5 game. The only scenario where we beat Michigan and MIchigan/Wisky aren't the 4/5 is if Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan State all win Sunday, which would then see Ohio State play Wisky in the 4/5 game.

If Indiana loses to Michigan, then it's guaranteed that Michigan will not be involved in the 4/5 game and the game will be between two of the three other top teams -- Ohio State, Michigan State, and Wisky. If Ohio State wins on Sunday, then the 4/5 game would be Michigan State v. Wisky. If Ohio State loses, it gets really tricky.

Agree -- that is the most likely. The one thing that happens that totally shakes things up is if Illinois beats Ohio State. That shakes things up from the two seed all the way down to nine.

Yeah. I assume OSU is a decent favorite tomorrow since they are playing well right now + it's a home game + Illinois is very inconsistent. I'd personally like to get some revenge on Illinois or Minnesota. Then some revenge on Wisconsin.

I would like to play Purdue again and be the team that keeps them out of the NIT. ;)

Just kidding. I told my nephew today that Purdue has to win 2 games to make the NIT and the way they have been playing lately, I think that could be done. I just hope they are in another bracket other than IU's.

The future looks very bright for Purdue and the IU/Purdue game next year will be very competitive, IMO.
