Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

i honestly did not even budge when we won. it's been that long. what to do? too young for '76, but had a good time with '81 and '87. and then the henderson injury killed me...what a great team.

would simply be floored (and i mean that positively) if we hung the 6th with this team.

The last sole Championship season, I was 11 and just really getting into college basketball. What could have been had Henderson's knee held out.

I LOVE OUR TEAM. PERIOD.

I had no doubt when we were down 5 that we would make a comeback. I was thinking more of OT than squeeking it out like that. I yelled as loud as I could and jumped up and down like a little kid when that shot rolled off the rim. "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I shed a tear with my boy Vic and Coach Crean.... cause you know, we've been through a lot together lol. But no, seriously... this is MY thing, and has been. Living in a little town like this, it's about all I've got to look forward to in southern Indiana. I was 3 last time we won the title outright. Cheaney was on that team... and he's a part of this years team. How freakin magical is that? It IS meant to be. I loved our guys post game comments. Victor said God brought them all together for a reason, and that reason is bigger than themselves. When asked about his POY chances, he gives the graces to Cody. Humble group of guys... they play their hearts out and give us all they have, and for that, I truly love this team.

MARCH ON, HOOSIER NATION. The Cardiac Kids are back!

Also worth noting... I'm absent during the games because I can't do this and watch at the same time, and carry on a convo with my friends about the game. And, for whatever reason, the Mobile version of this site just sucks on my Android phone. It was great before my last update, now I still have to pinch and zoom the screen..... aka hassle town. LOL

So I may not be as present as I once was, because I've moved on from being laptop bogged all the time and went mobile for the most part... but I'm still very much around and involved!

Some of us have been networking/chatting for OVER 5 years now. We know eachother's tendencies on here...which is funny to me. I've gained more knowledge from you group of guys than any other source I've got. So THANK YOU Brian and Jazen, as well as big daddy Brumdog for keeping this place a mainstay for me for several years!

Those ESPN boards.... LMAO. Unbiased1 .... Man. Time really does fly. It's been fun!

I've known a lot of these guys for about 10 years now. I started posting on the ESPN boards in 2003 and there were a lot of guys from this board there then when Donkey was stinking it up with 15-14 seasons:

Bri, Brum, Lars, IU1fan, boat, and many more.

Crazy to think about how fast time flies.

I was at work during the game. Had to fill in for someone because I usually don't work Sundays. When that ball rolled off the rim, I went flat out nuts. Everyone in the newsroom got a kick out of my celebration. I didn't care. I was so damn happy.

It's gonna be tough come this Friday. The game is on at noon, and I'll have to DVR it and wait on my son to get home from school at around 4 p.m. to watch it.

I'll damn near have to lock myself in the bedroom and hide under the blankets half the day to keep from hearing the score. I'm not even answering my door, SOME asshole will have to come over and tell me how the game went.

Fuck 'em all.

What a great day for Hoosier Nation. Did the final play make anyone else think of the IU/duke game in 2002 when Boozer missed the put back on Jason Williams missed FT.
I thought the same thing when I saw that last possesion unfold. Such a clutch win by our Hoosiers! I don't think they can deny us a #1 overall seed if we win another game or two in the conference tournament.
After Purdue pulls the upset in the b1g tourney (if that F'in Sheehey ever misses a F'in shot!) IU might fall to a #2 worst case, but it doesn't really matter, as there isn't any team to fear this year. IU should go deep unless they have a bad game.

Yeah, any time I DVR a game, as soon as we answer the phone, we say, "We haven't seen the game yet so say NOTHING! Now, what did you call for?"

And if it's a relative who's a huge IU fan, you know the result, as they probably wouldn't call after a tough loss.

Sometimes it's best to screen your calls too :)

And when you screen and see it's your uncle who you usually only talk to about IU sports.... shit....

If it's a huge game and I can be home to see it, I might start watching late, or get a few chores done around the house during the game, but I will try to time the game ending with completing the DVR tape. It sucks to catch up with real-time and sit through the final time-outs if the game is close.

I LOVE watching games live, ESPECIALLY with OHB. Like sitting in a room with fellow fans and going through the emotional roller coaster with each other. LOVE IT!
