Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

How can anyone say it's BS that Burke got POY? Probably had the most assists in the BIG since Deron Williams? 2nd in the league in scoring? I mean I get it. You can think VO deserved it more. But BS? Yeah I don't think so.
I agree that Burke should have gotten it. I do have to say, though, that I think that Michigan has struggled mightily when the offense turns into guys just standing and waiting for Burke to do his thing. That's not on Burke, that's on Belein.

Simply put, there is way too much talent on that Michigan team to lose six games in the conference.

Definitely don't had a problem with Burke winning it. He's an unbelievable player. I do have a problem with crean getting screwed out of big ten COY for a second straight season.

I guess because I am biased and we beat Michigan twice with big games from Zeller and Oladipo in those games, so I think an IU player should have gotten it. But Burke is a good player. Def don't agree with Ryan getting coach of the year though!

Easy...we're IU fans. :P

Burke is tremendous though. Only problem I have with him is when he starts to play hero-ball, which happens more than it should. Also, I thought IU beating them twice and Burke shooting poorly in those games (as Btown noted) might sway it into Vic's favor.

Definitely agree with Rock that this will be used as motivation by Vic.

And this is probably a board-wide sentiment, but I'm not as excited about the awards this year as I was last year. With the team's success, individual accolades certainly take a backseat.

agreed

at the end of the day Burke is a glorified Darius Morris.

To an extent I agree. They can have the individual awards, well take the conference title. But I do think crean should be recognized for what he's done. Im sure he doesn't care, but I kinda do.

Last year, they gave it to Izzo since he won the conference. IU wildly surpassed expectations, but since we didn't win, I suppose that's why he didn't get it. This year, nobody wildly exceeds expectations and IU wins the conference outright. It seems like he should have got it one of the two years.

Also, how the hell did Hardaway Jr. make first-team? Wow.

Is it Creans fault Vic didn't get POY?
Crean has had issues with a few coaches and he has been scrutinized
by the media in the last few weeks.

I'm not upset with Burke getting B1G POY. The guy had an amazing season and put up the numbers in stat categories that voters pay attention to.

Now, Bo Ryan on the other hand. Seriously...what the fuck?

I may be in the minority, but I think Ryan deserved it. Look at the standings and look at the preseason rankings. Wisconsin moved up with a walk on point guard and everybody pretty much finished where they were supposed to except for Wisconsin.
